Ahh, so his contract has performance-based bonus incentives??
Interesting... I've not heard of a player contract using incentives before. Interesting idea. Seems like a much better way to go than what it going on now.
That was a big thing everyone was having a come apart about a few weeks back when it was reported that Golesh would be transitioning our NIL to a more performance based model. Nobody really has any true specifics on what that will look like, but it caused much gnashing of teeth.

So quick question... does this only apply to QB?
If we sign the CB from Tennessee let's say for 500k.... should Champ Anthony just NOT start over him because he cost us more (even if he outperforms him)? What about receivers? If the kid from Kansas St cost us nearly a million.... should he just get the job over Duke Smith who probably doesn't make half that? Oh, and unlike the NFL college players could jump ship at the end of every season. A player in the NFL can hold out or request a trade..... sure, but these dudes can treat every off-season like a NFL contract year. How successful do you think we'll be at maintaining a roster by just handing the highest priced guys jobs? if competition is a thing of the past because you paid 4 million then we're absolutely finished. Auburn can wipe it's arse with 4 million bucks man.

Finally, some logic when it comes to NIL.

Glad the Brown watch is finally done.
Now please, pretty please.. 5 starting OL plus 2 back ups, 3 rotational DTs, A big time starter at DE and a back up, and 2 starting CBs.

Your reading comprehension is potato worthy. Nobody has said anything about Brown not being the clear QB1. But injuries happen on the regular in football. Have you ever watched football before in your life?
Yes dumbass, which is why your backup is a decent QB with some ability...of which there are plenty. You talk as if every other SEC school is carrying two proven SEC starters on their roster. Oh wait, Ole Miss' backup under Kiiffin was a D2 transfer that nobody had ever even heard of
Quick, name me Indiana's backup QB. It is Fernando Mendoza's younger brother who is a Freshman. What happens if Fernando Mendoza gets injured? Well, they probably take a step back considering that I doubt his Freshman brother can replace him....just like in the fricking NFL. What happens if Josh Allen or Mahomes gets injured? You think the Chiefs are carrying a backup who can just replace him?
Your entire scenario is fricking idiotic. If your starting QB goes down, then the best you can do is hope that the backup can keep the team together. Under the new NIL/Portal system you will NOT have 2-3 starter level QB's all sitting around.

I am just now reading Byrum Brown was represented Drew Rosenhaus. Bet Auburn paid a lot!
He's repped by Rosenhaus's firm but Shawn O'Dare is his agent who works at Rosenhaus.
ETA
O'Dare is also Singletons agent.

NFL teams also have the luxury of signing a QB midseason if their starter goes down. College teams do not.

You seem very emotional, and I’m not reading the novels you post. When you start out with name calling, that defeats any point you might be thinking makes you sound like you know what you’re talking about. So I’ll save you time by letting you know that.

When that happens, I’ll stop worrying about a thin QB room.

Edge Alexander McPherson chose Penn State.

I don’t know what Jolie Ale does but I’m sure she is fantastic it.

This is a bit of a unique situation where you have a one year QB come with the current coach as well as someone who seems to be as talented as the Knight kid. Worth it to pay a premium for the Knight kid.
Er body knows he's figuring out how to save face on the Gram after being offered $75K from BC.

I have an idea of a few things she probably does fantastic....I'm getting one anyway lol

Exactly. It’s not like we’re talking about bringing Lagway in to go along with Brown. We’re talking about a redshirt freshman to learn behind Brown, but he has the tools to win games if Brown goes down.
