Da’Shawn Womack was a 5-star out of HS (from the same school in Maryland that all our other Baltimore players are from) and was rated as a Top 10 Edge in the Portal last season when he transferred from LSU to Ole Miss.
Should be a good depth target.

Its funny you look at Jacob Strand and you see this cherub faced 240 lb kid, then you see a current picture and its a 300lb hombre.

We’re still going after the Maryland guy right?
Think him and the NC DL were visiting today. Hoping that’s not a bad sign that we took this guy.

How good is this guy though? Is he a guy that wants playing time or a guy that’s fine sitting this year hoping he gets time in a future year?

Here is from one website:
Strand played in three games as a true freshman in 2022 and redshirted. He played in six games in 2023 and three games in 2024. Strand played in six games — starting all of them — in 2025 for the Beavers, grading out at 64.6, per Pro Football Focus. All of his starts came at left tackle.

If tweet fails to load, click here. Guess we’ll have a competition at tackle?

wonder what his injury issues were
we’ve had talented OL in the past who couldnt play an entire season without missing games due to lingering knee and/or back problems
