Perhaps we can get rid of a few of our 47 receivers and use that money to entice some P5 players for the OL and secondary.

I'll trade Lee for Gibson. I think Auburn comes out with the better part of that transaction.

There are lot of Romello Height, Lee Hunter, Jay Hardy, Keionte Scott characters across football doing well in their 4th plus year because of their experience and extended time in the weight room alone that 18 yo 5 stars cant match.

Never said that. Was just making a point that FCS and G5 are further apart than P4 and G5. And yes, there could be lots of a talent at the FCS level of overlooked guys.
Durkin saw Mercer play while he was Interim, maybe he saw something he liked. Good be a good add.

Do we want players who don’t have other suitors? If someone is from a smaller school and Durkin likes him, you’d rather go by what he is ranked in the portal over team evaluations? Just chill out man we all want the same thing

You must not paying attention to how many are committing and how little traction we have going on at a few positions. Its not far from emergency mode on OL and DL. At least Gibson is probably coming at CB, but that position isn't doing much better.

He absolutely isn't. Otherwise he would have signed somewhere by now. He is clearly still shopping himself, and it isn't because there is a host of schools all offering him $4M lol. His actual signing price will be for probably only marginally more than what we were offering him.
Just like Lee visited OSU first, and they clearly didn't feel he was worth his asking price either. Hence why he left uncommitted. If Lee was back talking with Auburn, then he likely had a lowered asking price than what they were originally asking for.
