Brady Marchese, the WR that decommited from Michigan, seems to be a good player from what I’ve gathered. Would be a great addition if it came to fruition

The sky is falling because a bunch of players that contributed to 9 wins over 2 years are leaving, and we can't sign new players yet? Sounds like addition by subtraction to me

It takes actual addition by addition to achieve addition.

i know you jang, and you were as down on Freezus as i was before he got hired, but you were extremely patient with him the first two years
i hope you treat Golesh the same way

I am down because I am tired of losing and now we have to heavily repackage the roster. I dont want another cycle.
Hell I wanted to play in a bowl game because I am tired of not doing that. Frick. I hope Golesh knows what he is doing.

Legit thinking
Its what happens when you count on a shite coach to get lucky. He didnt. Now we basically have to start all over again with Golesh and like you, I hope he knows what he is doing.

We just cant get emotionally attached to these players, and see them for the value to the team. An example, Amaris Williams.
He was a five star we outbid others for at the last minute, a 5 star. He then becomes disgruntled, by his own account his fault. Durkin goes to his home and gets him out of the portal.....probably another pay raise on top of the 5 star price tag. Golesh must have thrown up in his mouth when he saw that price tag, and probably tried to keep from laughing out loud when he came back for a third bite at the apple.
On3 has Traevon Mitchell out of USF rated above him and he is probably less than half the price tag, and I bet far less drama.
Now you have freed up enough money to supplement what you were paying on the edges who have graduated and get an upgrade at that position. And so it goes.
Im not advocating that we "pinch pennies" but people forget EVERY SEC team now has 20 million plus in the budget before boosters pitch in. Its all about properly allocating the funds we have.

I want the record to be able to but bowl games should be moved to exhibition games. The players just don’t care.
Obviously the playoffs are a different animal that still tries to incorporate the bowls but that like everything else is just for more money.

Jang, with some discipline and a little O we easily could be a 7-8 win tm. I feel the same with these guys leaving the portal. Yeah it’s a rebuild but hopefully we have a competent coach that doesn’t lose to UK, Mizz, …

It was interesting to see Houston’s billionaire booster getting interviewed and saying this yr set there baseline and he was excited for the portal to open. If we think boosters are meddling that is just crazy
These schools like Houston, TT, BYU, and others are going all in and have unlimited funds. It’s gonna be wild the next few yrs.

Boosters have fricked football. I am so tired of the money aspect. As a fan I cannot care less.

Boosters have been fricking with AU football since you were in diapers, junior.

Not to the extent of this bulshit. I will never be okay with losing players that havent flamed out yet over local budgets

It’s not the money/NIL, it’s the portal with unlimited anytime free agency. A rookie in Pro Football (NFL) has to stay on the team that drafts them for 4-5 years. College has open free agency all the time,
They should make any signee commit to three years. Transfer Sr year if you need to and have a coach leaving caveat where they may leave if they have at least two years in. Theee has to be some control. If you had controls, the money would come down because you wouldn’t have bidding wars annually driving up the prices.

What does this mean exactly? Simmons is returning? Deuce is staying (always thought he would). CD signed at Alabama and is practicing with the team now but anything can happen.
Think it’s a big nothing burger.
