Story old as time. Auburn signs players, melters melt, sunshiners pump, and the cycle is repeated.

The pickup of Andre Jordan Jr is a good one and at this point if y’all don’t trust Durkin’s evals that’s on y’all.
I went and watched some of his reps vs Ohio State. He was matched in single coverage with Jeremiah Smith 5-6 times and gave up one catch on an absolute dime from Sayian and a insane catch by JS.
He forced 2 incompletions and a throwaway in the other reps.
Durkin has wanted to move to taller corners the past two years but unfortunately they don’t just grow on trees.
I’m not sure he’s an upgrade over Jay, but he’s a dang good player in his own right.

Portaling time is here. I want to see those linemen replaced

I’m infinitely more worried about Oline than any spot on Defense.

I agree. As I said, I think he is a solid player. Nothing more, nothing less.

100%. Defensively, Durkin is getting his say on who he wants to retain no matter what. I’ll let him do what he wants.
OL is still a definite concern. Really need the OSU guard. Would be a huge shore up.

Nate Johnson, edge from Mizzou, commits.

Andre Jordan is ranked as a 4-star and is the #9 CB on the On3 Industry rankings. He is ranked lower than Crawford, but higher than Kayin Lee:

Again, this is a very good pickup. They have Ricky Gibson at 91.88 and Jordan at 91.66.

Smuphy.. he's not ranked in the portal yet I guess, but compared to some of the names still available, (Smith Snowden, AJ Harris etc) he's a clear tier below them. Why with all the money we saved are we not trying to better tier of player? If he was coming in as CB 2 or 3 that would be great. As CB 1 though?

Good depth piece. Was a stud at App State before going to Mizzou.

I hope Nate Johnson isn't a starter, I saw some of the twitter accounts alluding to him being one, but we all know they don't really have a clue..
I think he's good depth to compete with JJ Faulk and Joe Phillips though.

I’m a bit surprised we havent been after AJ Harris.
As for Snowden Durkin is wanting taller rangy CBs and he doesn’t really fit that mold.
I’ve heard they want both CB to be above 6’0 next year.

forgive me not being overly excited about a guy coming in as the new CB 1 going into his senior year with 0 career ints.
Don't know how good he'll be, but judging a CB on the number of INTs they have is some dumb stuff. Really good CBs don't typically get many INTs. You don't get a bunch of pick chances as a man to man lock down guy.
Just gonna use Trent McDuffie for the Chiefs cause he's an easy example I'm familiar with. He had 1 pick through his first 3 seasons, and didn't get his first INT until the middle of his third year in 2024. He was first team all pro in 2023 and second team all pro in 2024.
I don't know Jack about this UCLA guy, and not trying to say he'll be any kind of great player, but picks have squat to do with being a good cover corner.

Coaching and player development are important.

We are going to overpay for OTs. Just head scratching Chaplin got away. IOL are a bit easier to find and we should be good there.
Posted on 1/10/26 at 1:11 pm to smuphy72
Smith Snowden is about the same height and weight as Gibson. Not that that conversation matters since we aren't recruiting him anyway, but just noticed since I was looking on the page.

All of you keep saying that shite, but when Miami wins the team who paid the most will win again. Indiana isnt some fairytale. Cuban dropped bags and Cig pulled big talent in on the lines. Their 1s are legit, but they have zero depth.
