One of the first tangible wins I could see for Golesh is getting a good staff and getting this guy.

I would love to have Brown but not if it take promising him the starting job to get him. He has a head start over the other 2 because he's played in the system for 3 years. If he's that much better than the other 2 he should easily earn the nod

I would like to think we don't have to promise anyone a starting spot. That being said, I would be concerned if the qb who came in, having played in the system with these same coaches was not the clear leader in the spring.

But in all fairness, we all thought Jeremy Johnson was going to be lights out, at a similar time in their career, JJ and Deuce.

In the limited playing time our 5* freshman had, he looked every bit like a 5* freshman. I don't understand what more we should have expected.

We need folks at every position group. I'd much rather land 20 SEC quality players then 2-3 big names and then have to settle for also rans at other spots. I'd imagine Byrum Brown is a lock to come unless he gets a Top 3 round draft grade which I don't think he will at this point. He needs to improve his accuracy just a bit.
