I would trust Aston over Brown. I've at lest seen AD play against SEC defenses and his accuracy and decision making is solid.
what was his record as a starter this year?

Deuce looked great against Mercer, and probably could have scored more if they let him play the full game and kept the foot on the gas.

But we dont think he is quite ready for the SEC.

Deuce was playing against a level of competition that Bynum Brown played against every Saturday. Hmmmmm

I say bring in Bynum and a receiver of two from USF. The "being in the system" is invaluable, and they can help our current roster with it. Pay Deuce enough and he will be fine. I also think Bynum will come in less expensive than thought, because he wants tape for the NFL and this is definitely his best option given the well known system and coach.

If Duece is ok sitting behind someone cause of money then he’s isn’t the competitor we want as our QB. Regardless of $$$, football players want to play and hit

Money is necessary cause it gives us an ability to live without financial worries but better not be what drives our players

G5 teams are closer to FCS level than they are P4 level

Byrum. His name is Byrum Brown.

How can we take your opinion seriously if you can’t even spell the kid’s name correctly

This is an absurd statement. The AAC had 4 teams that were ranked in the Top 25 at some point in the current season: Tulane, USF, North Texas, Memphis. Furthermore, all 4 of those teams beat at least one P4 team this season.

How many FCS teams were ranked in the Top 25? How many of them beat P4 teams?

FCS is nowhere near the G5.

And how did those teams fair when they played P4 teams? A G5 team beating a P4 team is just as rare as an FCS team beating one. It’s a fact.

List them then. It doesn’t happen often at all. That’s why people make such a big deal about it when it does happen. You had USF beating a 4 win Florida this year, and Memphis beating a terrible Arkansas team.

Old piss easily handled playoff bound Tulane this season. Louisville easily handled playoff bound JMU.

Tulane: 2-1 vs. P4 this season
North Texas: 1-0 vs. P4 this season
Memphis: 1-0 vs. P4 this season
USF: 1-1 vs. P4 this season

You are hilariously wrong. Better yet, why don't you look at the scores of these G5 teams vs. the FCS teams on their schedule? They blow them out by the same margins that top P4 teams blow out G5 teams when they play them:

North Texas beat Lamar 51-0
Memphis beat Chattanooga 45-10
USF beat South Carolina State 63-14

FCS isn't even remotely close to the top G5 schools. If you need further proof you can also track how many P4 schools are hiring FCS coaches or bringing in FCS players through the Portal vs. G5 coaches and G5 players. Its not close at all.

Here are some more G5 vs. FCS scores from this season:

Navy beat VMI 52-7
East Carolina beat Campbell 56-3
UTSA beat Incarnate Word 48-20
Temple beat Howard 55-7
FAU beat Florida A&M 56-14

These are all complete blowouts. The scores are no different than when Auburn plays a G5 team like UMass or Ball State.

How many of those wins were against bowl eligible teams or even schools that had a head coach at the time? You know the answer.

Memphis (1-0), Tulane (2-1), USF (1-1) and North Texas (1-0) went a combined 5-2 versus P4 teams this year, so no, it's not evenly remotely a fact. It's pretty much the opposite of a fact.

Now they weren't beating the top 12-13 teams like Ole Miss, ND, Miami, Texas AM, but they pretty much swept the board versus the average to lower tier SEC, ACC, and Big Ten teams they played like Florida and Duke.

They don't deserve to be in the playoffs, but the competition in the AAC is a hell of a lot better than the frigging FCS.
