Who did you want for DC instead?

It's inevitable that some guys will leave. Golesh and the Money Men need to make sure they're filling those needs in the portal.

We're not the only team losing good players. If other good players want to find a program where they can compete and win, then it's Golesh's job to sell that to them.

Not signing the best players for our new system would be a failure on Golesh's part.

I'm surprised Blockton would leave. He was a starter, so I don't see how he will be benefitting from leaving (as far as NFL stock is concerned).

What I wonder is how do you plan for spots that you think are filled then a player(s) hops in the portal at the last minute and bolts and there’s no post-spring portal to fill any holes going into Fall camp.

Does anyone know how the GM position plays into all of this? Does the GM determine player value then coaches have to negotiate that with him before he tries to sell it to the players?

Some guys just want to win now and don't want to stick around long enough to see if Golesh turns it around. This isn't that surprising.

And all this smartass energy around DJ is so low iq and childish. Doing this after 2 guys hit the portal and X and Amaris announcing theyre staying makes you look like an idiot. All the people wanting him for player retention didn't expect everybody to stay myself included. Now there is a line where that becomes a "failure" in some means. But then you have to think about it this way: if we hired somebody else how many of these kids would've stayed then?

Bottom line with alot of these guys is they want to get paid AND win. This could be Crawford and Malik's last year in college. I don't blame them for wanting to go somewhere where there's far less uncertainty about making the playoffs next year. You're not in college very long in the grand scheme of things after all.

Oh yeah and something else for the two dumbasses and their up vote brigade we also kept DJ bc he's a damn good DC. Change the thread title cry baby.

I would assume coaches decide a 1-60ish ranking for the player. Then the GM works within the allotted revenue sharing money. I’d assume somewhere around 15ish million dollars. The others 5.5 would go to other NIL scholarship sports.

Then the GM would have conversations with On to Victory of what NIL worth each players would be. And I’m sure marketability can sway that number some. An offensive guard although may be rated higher than a running back but a running back has more market value in sponsorship.

So the money partly comes from the rev share and the other comes in NIL. That was the big question of the summer how are schools guaranteeing what some of these kids NIL value is.

We were like 78th in pass defense and held like the 8th best defense in the SEC.

You might as well tell me Taylor Swift is a 10

Only Blocton deserves to be in bold now. As someone else posted; it is only going to be bad news until Jan. 2. We have a very vocal, emotionally weak, minority on here and in the podcast sphere who have the emotional bandwidth of a 6th grader.

Make your own thread, bitch. The defense was in the bottom half of the SEC this season. I remember Auburn fans being pissed for not having a top 10 defense in the country. Now low T fans like yourself think bottom half of the conference is worth another $1 million a year raise.

Cherry pick more bro. DJ has been an asset everywhere he's been for a decade now. Are you aware of just how many snaps we played with first year guys at safety? First and second year guys in the secondary? First and second year guys across the entire 11?

You think you're coming across as the smartest guy in the room but you're really coming across ignorant, clueless, and like you have an axe with djs name on it to grind.

hell yeah brother. Now write in crayon so the kids can understand.

And it's even more wild bc it actually hasn't been bad news. Best linebacker in the conference and a young freak edge chomping at the bit to be THE GUY AT AUBURN just let us know they were staying yesterday. We're just in the dumbass double down phase of this bs.

You are literally the laughing stock of the board. How do you not take that as a sign you're just about always wrong?

I don't really have anything else to say to you. I'll entertain jang a lil more tho bc at least he actually has some shite to say unlike you.
