It will eventually ruin college football. Wonder what the collapse will look like.

So your love of backups only applies to the QB position?

It's strange, but remarkably consistent.

Amazon prime has really been on point in my mood for nostalgic football. I've watched movies about Freddie Steinmark and Brandon Burleson in back to back nights. This edition of college football where you have to learn your new team each year is for the birds.

Wasn’t Tre Mason related to someone? Speaking of, has anyone heard how he’s doing or where he’s at?

Last I heard he has the mindset of a teenager bc of CTE. Was arrested in Florida on an ATV and then had suicidal threats

It is not NIL. It is booster driven pay for play.
Its a joke on the NCAA for all those years they spent making a rule book around not cheating to get players.

It has turned the sport into a joke without rules. The ncaa could return the favor by forcing player to sign a contract to not accept money through NIL to play for a ncaa program. 5 stars aren't going to the NFL without a place to show their abilities.

Still say the member institutions have a case against the NCAA for absolute lack of control.

Put the NCAA’s existence on the hot seat. They don’t have an incentive to develop a working model. They fall back on ‘the courts’ ‘the courts’ however that bit of worthlessness should have only been accepted the first year when they were blindsided. If they are toothless then what’s their good… and why shouldn’t the conferences form some other alliance that will salary cap. They’ve played the avoidance game too long and need a very public gutting. The possible loss of TV revenue alone will make them solve this quick… if the new organization gets to rewrite broadcasting revenue.

ETA: because who cares to watch a ten team league of unlimited amateur players… when they can still have their old but somewhat updated cherished sport.

If I read the stories correctly:

Miami will pay Duke the 4million remaining on Mensah contract and give Mensah 6 million.

Mensah gets a 2 million dollar bump, gets to play in a much bigger market, gets an Adidas deal. His sister, who plays soccer at Oregon, will get a Miami scholy plus NIL.

Manny Diaz is the head coach of Duke and now the top 30 QBs in the portal are gone, leaving few options for Duke.

A bit of irony. In December of 2018 Diaz took the head coaching job at Temple.....18 days later he left them high and dry and took the head coaching job at Miami. Sometimes karma, like a good roux, takes time to cook.

As usual, its the fans that get the short end of the stick.

Is there something wrong with the recruiting sites?

If you key in Auburn and offers for 2027, all that shows up is the senior class of St. Francis and the roster of the USF team......

Boy that is one wicked DL, wicked.
