McClain was very productive for us, but I don’t think he is a first round choice.

I think he will make a roster, but play mostly on special teams.

I don’t see him as a full time starter in the NFL.

He will play several years.

I wish him the best, and hope he is drafted in top 100, but even if it is fifth round, he will make the roster.

I've seen him in several top 100 list.

McClain is almost a prototype LB in todays game.
Reads the game quick, quick, sure tackler, decent in coverage.

If he gets up to 220 and runs good, he's a 3rd rounder

McClain going pro

What's the prevailing thought on Pappoe? I've always suspected he'd bounce after his Jr season, but I'm not so sure. I just read a draft eval on him and it basically said his only downside was size (that's been his case as a recruit) and his change of direction isn't smooth. It also said this LB class isn't deep at all compared to the last few. But this eval was posted in July and basically said he could be a 2nd-3rd round guy based on athleticism alone if he showed he could tack on a little weight and still play athletic at around 235 pounds this year.

Well, he barely played this year. I know NFL teams won't not pick someone due to lack of production alone, and his athleticism is crazy good, but his production just hasn't matched the level of elite athlete he is for the past two years. He does everything pretty good, but he isn't elite at anything. His best spot is in the run game and even then he sometimes gets lost watching window dressing or is too willing to get caught up taking on blocks. We all know he's a freak athlete and will probably test off the charts, but does he gain much by coming back and showing teams he can improve his production? Or does he jump at a 4th rd or lower selection?

I can see either benefitting him, and of course I'd love to see him back for selfish personal reasons. But like I said, I've already had him penciled in as a 3 yr guy from the time he signed his LOI to AU.

Because he doesn’t actually know anything. He’s just making a guess that there’s a pretty good chance more guys go into the portal today.

Pappoe didn't get enough on field time this year to really showcase everything he truly is capable, in my opinion. We know he's great, but I think he would be doing himself a favor if he showed out one more year after getting a better season with more play time.

He just tweeted a file on his desktop labeled “bad news,” opened it, and it was empty.

Update from Hoke regarding Bo Nix: As of tonight, he expects him to enter the transfer portal. He also states that you should keep in mind that he can return even if he enters the portal.
