How much do you think he runs this year?

In comparison, Marshell was 798/11, 1068/12. 2011 Malzahn/Auburn we had frazier . Newton was 1473/20. 2009 we had Todd . Gus's Arky State's QB had 779/11. 2008 Tulsa, 186/3. 2007 Tulsa 186/13

I say push on the yards and over on the TDs

I say less yards more TDs. Gon sling the rock more this year. More short yardage TD's. I wonder how well JJ runs that read option.

I'll go with under on both. I think he will get close to those to those numbers, but not quite. We have so much talent at RB and WR just don't see JJ running that much.

Regular season- 600 Yards Rushing 8 TD , 2500-2700 Pass 24 TD

Hard to average more than that when your average minutes in the second half = 0

Under
Around 500 yards and 8 TDs (most of the touchdowns in goal line situations)

JJ is capable of going over that IMO, but won't be asked to.

I think the running game will be more focused on the RBs this year, and I think we have two RBs go over 1000 yards.

We're much deeper and more talented at RB than the last 2 seasons. Marshall was a dynamic runner who was also a very good passer. JJ is a dynamic passer who can also run well. We'll want to protect his arm.

The yardage is the toughest to anticipate at this time, but I think with his size and mobility, he will be used quite often at the goal line for TDs, thats why I say over[TDs]

Definitely agree. Gus has never really had a college QB with Johnson's skillset. I don't expect him to run near as much as Marshall or Newton. He's a good runner (I believe), but those guys were on another level. Also, does Gus really have faith in White to risk potential injury with JJ by running him a lot? Does he think JJ has the ability to take us the championship while White is still a RFR that hasn't thrown a live game ball? Does he have more faith in Jeremy's arm or his legs? What about the runningbacks? Are they good enough to pick up tough yardage when it counts? What about the OL? Is it good enough to get us holes near the endzone?

A lot of questions out there that won't be answered until kickoff. That's why I'm leaning to the conservative answer.

I won't go that far, but I do assume that his 2nd half possessions will be limited at least four or five of our games.

So put me down for under/under.
