Disagree. This place is 'cool' because of the unique niche it fits. The less "European experience" it is, the less interesting

I'm not saying make it a sports bar, because that would take away from the uniqueness of the place. What I am saying is that an outright ban of American sports in Birmingham is not a sound business plan for a bar.

Avondale has the best beer venue in town, but make some of the worst beers.

I really like Vanillaphant. Is the rest of their shite not good? Or did it just get popular so beer snobs say it’s no good now.

I mean I guess I'm a snob but I don't consider myself one. I don't mind Avondale but if I had a choice I would just prefer Trim Tab and Ghost Train right now. They are putting out way better beers. But I do really like Avondale's Sour Room that's around the corner.

I'm a total beer snob. I haven't had anything by Trim Tab or Ghost Train that I've liked. Cahaba makes a decent IPA. Good People IPA is good and their JUCO is excellent. Not a fan of anything that Avondale puts out.

Singing River is my favorite in state brewery from Florence, AL. Their porter and IPA are fantastic beers.

I haven't had much of anything from Ghost Train yet and about the only Trim Tab I've had is their Sour which I hate, so I've just avoided it a good bit.

Avondale's Spring Street Saison is one of my favorite's though. I can drink that stuff really easy, which can get bad sometimes with it's content

Trim Tabs Gallery Series beers are ridiculously fantastic and the small batches which have recently been a lot of NEIPAs. The mass produced ones are fine but not nearly as good as those. Have you not have Ghost Train Boysenberry Sour? Or the Judge Juicy? They are fricking incredible. If you don't like that then Jesus Christ.

I've never had anything from Ghost Train. I've heard good things, just haven't tried it yet. I'll try anything once, but if it's a sour...I probably won't enjoy it

Can't do sours. I haven't had any of the small batch Trim Tab stuff, only their IPA and brown rye. Not a fan of either.

It's truly awful IMO. As a homebrewer, I use rye a lot. I love the taste. This beer is not good. Not sure what they did to it, but it isn't right.

I'll go down there sometime soon and spend an evening there. Maybe straight from the tap at the facility will change my mind.

Lanier,

There’s a tequila bar over in Cahaba Heights now next time you’re in Bham.

This is funny because your name is similar to Dildo.

That's all I have to add here.

In all honesty, that is probably a place I should avoid.
