I always questioned Reeds 5* rating when he played his first play at Auburn. He never looked like he was going to be that kind of receiver. He was fast, yes. But he never looked like a receiver. Kyle Davis on the other hand looked like the next coming of Jerry Rice but he had his issues.
I dont wish bad things on RW. Hell, I have never understood why we are so obsessed with him. Yes he is good but we have two guys already that are equally as good.
It shows how our society is obsessed with "winning". Not sure what is more important, we get him or Bama doesnt.
Without getting political, it is a huge issue within our country right now.

From a recruiting standpoint. Losing etheride hurts recruiting. Hiring Will Redmond from LSU is a huge upgrade over TR. He has a track record. Many of you miss the point that I hope TR does great with Gus. But Hugh did not promote TR to an on field position and got an upgrade in recruiting. Win for everyone.

No one ever said Redmond wasn’t an upgrade and Redmond has a different title than TR because of his experience and ability. To say TR didn’t have an impact in his role is being disingenuous at best.
Also, Hugh not promoting TR to on field doesn’t prove TR wasn’t valued as a recruiter. Kelly and McGriff also have much more experience and are very good at recruiting, especially Kelly. No one missed your point, it just didn’t have much merit to begin with.
In fact a couple of us said he would be missed but doesn’t hurt us that much. Why, because some of the people Hugh has hired. You sir it seems is the one that missed the point.

He’s talented and fast, but it probably was more about taking Bama’s prized recruiting target. First from Saban, and second had Deboer missed on him the fan base would have not taken it well. Just look at how much they were peacocking about Deboer’s recruiting ability after RW committed, again.
They would have been crushed. With that said I have a feeling RW will live up to his rating. We shall see.

RW is a flat stud and maybe best receiver (sans Julio) ever from our state. Cam is another stud and while different is super as well. With RW think of Devante with more Speed. With Cam think of AJ Brown.
It’s ok to say this and be an AU fan. It’s fun to watch super talented guys.

We upgraded in a huge way over ZE. He wasn’t the recruiter y’all think he is. If he was that good he wouldn’t be working at Houston right now.

I think of Cam like AJ green. Same build and height. I actually the he has the potential to get off to a faster start like brown did Also.

Coleman will have just as big of an impact but without all of the showboat drama RW will bring.

You keep acting like the guy from LSU is replacing Reed which I don’t think is true.
I also don’t understand why you don’t want to give Reed any credit despite the evidence being there.

Not really. Kelly replacing him makes it a net gain. Kelly is a much better recruiter….compare their lists.

I think Perry is going to surprise a lot of people. He reminds me of Andre Johnson. Quiet, but super confident, and because of that quietness flies under the radar. He can dominate anyone. The way he was begging Cam Coleman to race like he knew he was going to win, is exactly the type of player I want.
