Would be a mighty big coincidence that Salter just happens to hit the portal right after Ward decided to declare for the draft…
Just in time before the window closes so he can participate in Spring practice.

Or he waited until after his teams bowl game to hit the portal.

Maybe. There were plenty of players that hit the portal and still played in their bowl game though.

I heard that players have up to 5 days after their last game to enter the portal regardless of the window. Not sure if that's true.

Pretty sure that is correct

After the NCAA shortened the winter transfer window from 45 days to 30 days, it added an exemption for players who compete in their bowl games, who are given an additional five-day transfer window after playing in the games.

Isaiah Raikes, a transfer lineman from Texas A&M, is taking a visit to Auburn, per Jeffrey Lee of On3. Raikes, a former three-star prospect in the 2020 class, played for four seasons with the Aggies. He appeared in every game each of the past two seasons, totaling 34 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks. The 6-foot-1, 320-pound lineman has two years of eligibility remaining.

A slot CB from Toledo is visiting today too. Looks like a solid player.
Someone brought it up on ON3, but Salter has the same major that McCall had. No one knows if we've added sports management as a major or will next year. This could end up being a problem again.. too early to know for sure. Hoke said he would ask about it being added though.

MSU Transfer OT Percy Lewis visiting Thursday

Massive big man that at 380 lbs is a very good athlete for his size. He possesses good movement, body control and agility. Once his loses some weight he will be even more dynamic in his movement. He also has more room for development in his upper body that with the added strength will make him even more dominate at the point of attack. He is able to roll his hips on contact to game movement on a defender and drive them out of the way. Need to refine his technique in pass protection as he is more advance in the run game right now. I see him as a RT long term where he can impose his will on players and be more than adequate in the pass pro. This road grader type tackle should be a starter early in his career with the ability to play in the NFL.

I don’t understand why McCall was supposedly the guy last year then wasn’t even really talked about at all this year…

I agree, it doesn't make sense to me either.
I wonder if Auburn reached out again or not.

Auburn signee Cam Coleman has looked stellar through the first day and second day of practices. He’s big with soft hands, smooth going in and out of route has made tough catches away from his body and at 6-foot, 390 pounds, was among the fastest players of day one. He’s continued to shine into day two quickly.” — Sam Spiegelman
Damn, what is going on at the UA camp? Coleman shrunk a few inches and gained a massive amount of weight.

No wonder Jalyn Crawford got that circus, one-armed interception over Coleman!

If we don’t get another qb transfer because we don’t have their major, we are the most incompetent mother frickers on earth

We are not going to land a transfer because we aren’t looking for one imo.

Someone brought it up on ON3,
yeah that was me, not sure if it will cost him. However he has been in college for 2 1/2 years so he has probably mainly taken core courses that will transfer easy.

Yeah I think the issue with McCall was how close he was to graduating. The longer you're in college the higher percentage of credits have to be able to transfer to a major.
