Id throttle it back a little, Shedrick Jackson had more catches and yards than this fella last year.
I still think we have some decent receivers on the squad, they just need to be coached....and someone who can throw it within 10 yards of them.

His 247 scouting report
Lean, athletic build with space for more mass. Looks to have above average height and length, though size has not been verified. Gets good extension to maximize catch radius. Monster production as a sophomore against Texas 6A competition in DFW Metroplex. Shows spatial awareness and is cognizant of where he relates to defenders and the sideline. Good run-after-catch player with impressive short-area suddenness. Strings together moves in the open field. Effective chain-mover in the short-to-intermediate passing game. Encouraging ability to leverage DB's into breaks on shorter routes. Tough cover on drags, slants, etc. Competitive on contested throws and shows above average red-zone efficacy. Shows good concentration and ball-tracking ability on deeper throws. Can improve get-off quickness and consistency. Often not physically challenged at release. Needs to add mass and strength. Athleticism lacks verifiable context in testing and/or track environment. Plays fast enough but can get faster at top end. Among top receivers in Texas for his class. Potential to become multi-year impact starter at the high-major level with possibility to play beyond college.
He ran a 11.34 100 meter in 2021 which is the equivalent of a 4.7 40 yard dash.
He was also a 4*, not a 5*

Hudson was a true freshman on a winning team. Shed was a 6th year senior on a shite team
Y’all have got to look past numbers on a sheet of paper to evaluate young guys

We might, but there’s zero evidence
This coach ‘em up mindset is how the Harsin era failed spectacularly quick. That bullshite sounds nice but the game is getting talent onboard. I like a few guys but our WR room is arse lol

It's like the chicken and the egg. Are our QBs arse and made our relievers look bad, or are our relievers arse that made the QBs look bad? Personally I think everything outside of our RBs were arse last year.

You getting a piece of this fella's NIL Jonesy?
I will agree that if we get a few of the fellas we have targeted in this HS class, they will be better than anything we currently have on the roster.

I think you left out the main culprit: the Oline was arse. And no offensive skill players can overcome that.

5* on On3
As On3 amasses most of 247 & Rival’s top guys I’ve used it more and more. Especially for Auburn as their coverage runs laps on the other services.
Gonna be times that I cite a rating that doesn’t align with your preferred website. It’ll be OK

Our QBs don’t help but the talent isn’t there, regardless. There’s some guys I like, though. I’m surprised to find fans of that room, though
I’m not sure this TCU kid will pick auburn because of the QBs

4* S Zaquan Patterson puts us in his top 5 along with Ohio State, Michigan, FSU, and Miami

The on3 composite has his as a 4*
The top site’s composite has been the gold standard for a while. Usually when referencing a star rating we have used 247’s composite; not just 247’s star rating. Now we can use on3’s composite rating and not just their rating.

On3 does have him as 100% to AU. Hopefully he commits - would be a huge addition to the WR room.

LB/Edge Jaheim Thomas is on campus for an OV. From Cincinnati
He was a 4* by one service, but he warned, it might not be your preferred website

On3 had him as a 5*. Their composite has him as a 4*. I cited on3 and the article I read said 5* (because that was their rating).
I’m literally never going to explain this again — I don’t care what you’re preferred website is. If it matters this much to you then post there. I’ll probably cite a guy wrong occasionally. You’re getting free info so deal with it

You’re gonna use the site beachbum wants and you’re going to like it, damn it.

That's what I meant by outside of our RBs, everyone was arse

Cool. If you want to get nitty gritty he is a 4* in On3’s transfer portal rankings.
I’m sorry if this may not align with your preferred rating on your preferred website.

This entire argument is fricking stupid lol
I hope we get him
