I doubt he will see the field much. This gets another older guy in the WR room to help the freshman out though. Anything you can do to shorten their learning curve is a good thing.

Is this the dude who would take the snap and just stand in the pocket, not moving his feet and look for a receiver to wildly throw the ball to? I remember seeing that during our game and thought it was the weirdest thing.

Nah this is the one that finished the game and was pretty slippery extending plays. Asante had a bead on him all night though.

I heard Michael Tarquin's name come up on the JLee show. He is a grad transfer I believe, only has a year left. Played for Florida, hit the portal for a year at USC, now back in the portal and Florida has offered (strange world), and Kentucky. He started 8 games at rt tackle for SC last fall.

Just from what I remember of the Cal game he is definitely talented enough to warrant several touches per game. Even work in some trick plays where he lines up as a WR and ends up throwing the ball. Even just a couple times to make opponents see it and prep for it.
Past that, I think having a guy like that who has played QB and WR will be very valuable to the new crop of HS WRs we have coming in. Being in all the position meetings with the new guys and schooling them on the finer points of the position can pay off big time for those guys down the road. I think it's a great pickup.
