Florida’s offense looked pretty bad for their spring game, and there wasn’t a drop of rain.

Like others have said the SI article only references the Locked On podcast….

I always knew KN was a Gators fan but he is making me hit the unfolllow button. Is he working for the national ON3 team or is he covering Florida?

Georgia has had more success than Auburn in recent years. Does that factor play into Phillips’ decision? According to him, it’s more about the players than the school itself.

“Honestly, I understand why people see the difference between a national champion versus Auburn which hasn’t succeeded like that in a long time, but that doesn’t make a team,” Phillips said. “We could very much come into Auburn and if we have a good team that comes together and plays football, we could do the same thing. We could go to Georgia and have a bad team, then it goes down hill. You can’t just base it off them being back-to-back champions. That’s not what makes champions, the team and players have to make them champions.”

He's wanting to play the game, I think the coaches will ratchet the pressure up on him pretty soon, like they did Phat.

Those are valid points. I’ll be interested to see how Hugh handles recruitments against those guys over the next couple of years.

I think they will tell Phillips to make up his mind. There are some other targets on our board that are actually ranked higher than he is. He waits he may find the spots taken at all his favorite schools.

Now receivers, that I would agree with . Thompson, Coleman, Ryan Williams (they say he is reclassing to this year), any of those have a guaranteed spot, heck Freeze would rent himself a room at the motel 6 and let them move into his house, if the dorm was full, to make space for any one of them.

Although many may not like the two signing periods, NIL, or the portal. I think it has shifted the power back to the schools and away from these hat shuffling 18 year old kids. Making many commit early and ensuring they perform once they get on campus or they will be replaced.
