“Yes sir, every day,” Thompson said while noting that Freeze is the head coach that communicates with him the most. “I like it because usually head coaches don’t really reach out to you like that every day, but he’s different.”

During that visit, Thompson was a high priority for Auburn quarterback commit Walker White. He has been wanting to meet in person and talk.

“I walked in, they said he was looking for me,” Thompson said. “I finally met up with him, the dude is buff, like he’s big.”

“We just chopped it up, got Cam Coleman, talked to him, Martavious (Collins) the tight end, and KJ (Bolden) the safety,” Thompson said. “So, we all just chopped it up the whole time.”

“We had talked a lot before A-Day,” White said. “He also is much bigger than I thought he was going to be. That was really good. It feels like me and him would work really well together. He wanted to stay outside even though it was raining. A lot of guys wanted to go inside. He didn’t even have a rain jacket, he just sat outside and took it for what it was. He got really soaked. But I could tell he was having a good time. Me and him had a couple good talks.”

What’s the main reasons Auburn has Thompson’s attention?

“I know I can come in and start as a freshman, they’re going to have good coaches that can develop me to go to the NFL, and really just the family feeling,” Thompson said.
