I think KN at on3 initially was great for giving Pinkston some time to adjust to the recruiting coverage role and he’s done well I think

He also helped balance out JLee’s posibarnering. That will be missed the most

I think Haskins broke Lee. He hasn’t been confident about anyone in a couple years.

Cole is way better than KN. He's the one they can't afford to lose. In fact, I'd say KN is the least necessary podcast member.
Podcast Keith is the GOAT for covering Auburn recruiting.

There's been a couple of times he's forgotten about recruits he was supposed to keep track of lol. JLee isn't exactly grinding these days. I like him, but he's more personality than anything right now (He still drops scoops, but just saying he's got a big personality). Cole is def carrying the load there right now and they will probably have to bring another person in unless Hoke wasn't to get into the recruiting side (God I hope not)

Pink is a great story...I remember him when he was trying to break in the biz several years ago...he was busting his butt, writing articles and posting like crazy even when no one was paying attention. Focused hard work pays off.

Think Martavious Collins is very close to committing. He’d be my pick for next as of today.

Saw his tweet right after I posted that. He’s a solid addition.

Reading the tea leaves, seems to me that Brother Hugh told Collins he needs to jump on board if he wants a secured spot.

I think so too, because he told recruiting reporters he wanted to wait until July.

Hard to blame Collins considering his last commitment didn’t work out I can see not wanting to make another commitment yet

Other news, no surprise, made 4* LB Joe Phillips’ top 5 with Clemson, UGA, A&M, Tennessee

Not sure if Smurph has talked about this lately but an on3 guy that’s had some good info on southern AL guys says ‘25 5* WR Ryan Williams is set reclassify to 2024.

Us Vs UGA.

I think the reclass favors Williams to Bama. Hugh won't quit though.

KJ Bolden quotes from Dukes:

On the culture Coach Freeze is bringing to Auburn:

quote:

"Coach Freeze has a winner's mentality and you can tell. He always talks about doing things the right way and how the right people can turn a program around quickly. He says I would be a program changer and let's me know how important I am to putting Auburn back where it belongs. You can tell Auburn is focused on winning."

On A Day weather:

quote:

"It wasn't the best weather but it was crazy how many recruits still showed up. I really wanted to get back down there so it was cool just seeing how people still supported in that weather. There were still fans hanging out after the game looking for Autographs, I thought that was cool."

Kayin Lee's message:

quote:

"Kayin, that's my boy. He's just telling me how much of a family it is in Auburn and pretty much confirming some stuff that I already kind of felt like. It was good to see him play the way he did."

Playing offense at Auburn:

quote:

"I met with Coach Davis (Auburn receiver coach Marcus Davis,) and he likes what I can do as a receiver. I'm open to wherever I can help my team win. Auburn is one of the schools that feels like I can help on both sides of the ball."

CZE's message:

quote:

"Coach Zac is real down to earth. He actually played safety at Auburn and was just driving home the fact that Auburn loves their family and he's living proof. He's just a cool guy overall and someone I can talk to about more than football."

Regarding if Auburn will get an OV:
quote:

"I haven't made all of my plans yet, but if Auburn keeps recruiting me the way they have been I can see that for sure."

Biggest takeaway of the weekend:
quote:

"The family stuff is REAL. I had conversations about more than football from people that you can tell really love Auburn. They showed my family love and we like how people come back to Auburn and tell their stories. We are big on family."

I think Ryan Willams is this year's version of Keldric Faulk.

JLee asked him about the bama commit and he said he was not even thinking about Auburn. He was invited to a game and Harsin just passed him on the sidelines and never even acknowledged him, so he said, oh well Bama wants me.

His dad played DB for us, sounds like all has been forgiven, he has scheduled some more visits.

If he does reclassify and the stars align and we get him and Coleman, somebody gonna have to change White's sheets

If we can get the official from Bolden, we'll very much in it. It'll be interesting to see how that recruitment plays out over the next few months.

As for Ryan Williams the coaches arent going to find themselves in a situation like they were in with Tony Mitchell. They aren't going to play the games the Gus staff played that left them empty handed at times.
