DJ Barber ended up going to OM for an official visit. They’ve been on him for a while. Probably one to keep an eye on.

With all due respect to Barber, I think we can find similar talent if he flips. I like him and can see shades of deshuan Davis, BUT Reddick has waaaay more upside than that.

I really like Barber. I think if we miss on him we probably put pressure on Shaw and I just don’t think Shaw is as good.

Struggling to understand the relevance but I don’t disagree

We can have both, and still want even more

Davis was a really good football player for us

I put Dansby a level higher than Davis. I think Reddick has that type of talent, but who knows how he'll perform. People said Barber is more college ready, but Reddick has all American ability. I compared Davis to Barber because I see them as 5'11 6'0 guys who may not have elite athleticism but they'll still make good impact.

Riddick won’t be a day 1 start. He’s raw but has all the physical traits to be great. Barber however more limited in raw talent is a tackling machine. Which is needed for an in the box linebacker.

Riddick will play an OLB position and Barber ILB

Yep, that's why I mentioned Deshuan. I put Barber in the, Josh Bynes, Zacoby, and Britt group, but Reddick has more UPSIDE than those guys. Reddick may not have the career those players had, but if he lives up to hype he's a first round talent. I think it's easier to find Barber, than a guy like Dansby if that makes sense.

If Barber is as good as Bynes or Britt we need to crawl over glass to get him... those guys were defensive leaders and have good NFL careers.

How is our recruiting class shrinking instead of growing this late into the process. Alarm bells are starting to go off.

A mix of things, but mostly some processing

Do agree that it feels suboptimal. A lot is now hinging on flips materializing which is an uncomfortable spot

Are those guys Spikes and Dansby though? I'm saying Barbers ceiling is a bit lower. If Reddick lives up to his potential he's all American level. Britt, McClain, Davis and Bynes are some of my favorites, but only one of them is became a starting NFL linebacker. Britt might start eventually, but not so far. Spikes and Dansby were generational talents

Why are you comparing both? We want both and it’s not an either/or situation

Lol I hear you, I was just trying to calm nerves by saying even if we lose Barber we still got Reddick lol Now people think I'm attacking him

OTV only having less than 2 thousand subscribers has to be absolutely killing us. The fanbase doesn’t want to pay to win.

And those same fans will be the ones bitching about not getting back to competing with our rivals.

Are you talking about Riddick or Reddick? I’m assuming you mean Riddick but keep typing Reddick so I’m not positive

Ignore Stidham. He’s just bored looking to have some fun causing a stir.
