What would y’all think if Liberty QB Kaidon Salter entered the portal. Would you want him? He’s lighting it up at Liberty.

We recruited him at one point and stopped. I know at one point he had major off the field concerns. Hopefully he has grown up now

Not sure he can even transfer again unless he graduated. One guy I would like to see us go after, if he can graduate early because he just transferred, but Thomas Castellanos at Boston College.

He was allowed a free transfer due to the McDonald’s debacle and Pruitt. I think he can still transfer and not have to sit.

I still can't imagine vandaGriff is going to waste another year at Georgia now that Beck has established himself as clear qb1

I would be ok taking a look at Salter though. He was a pretty highly ranked QB prospect. I assume we hit the portal for a QB again no matter what though.

We were offering big bank last year. Untilwe have an O line and receivers it’ll be tough to pull in the top guys

Boy I was just thinking the same thing. And he has a hand picked Bobo QB behind him, I dont understand that at all. You can bet some feelers have gone out in that direction, just to see what the thoughts are.
Dont worry Geriner will transfer some place where he will play, be in the running for the Heisman and we will be known as the breeding ground for QBs of other teams

Scuttlebutt was we tried to get him last January when it appeared that Mcall wouldn’t work out. Kirby wouldn’t give him a waiver to transfer to another SEC school. So unless he’s a grad transfer it isn’t happening.
I do think they’ll go back to the portal for a QB, RB, and WRs again this year.

There are several reasons we didn’t take him when he tried to commit back in January.
Has some pretty glaring character issues and the staff didn’t believe he was a good fit. (From what I was told)

What? Vandegriff didn’t need a waiver, he gets his one free transfer and you no longer need waivers inside the league.
Not sure who told you that but its BS. He could have entered during the first portal window period and transferred and been immediately eligible….the second window he would have to sit a year since he is an undergrad.

I didn't know about his character issues, but I've seen him play in person and, yeah, he is huge, but he looked incredibly unathletic when I watched him. Maybe he improves with some P5 coaching, but he just seems like a massive project to me.
