I watched all of Fluff’s game against Etowah last night and I was truly impressed. He was a one man show. Every time he touched the ball you felt like he was going to take it to the house. He is a special talent, granted Etowah doesn’t have its most talented team this year.

He looks slow in the highlights. What type of competition is he facing?
Yea that was my first thought as well, then saw he’s playing 4A which I thought was pretty good in AL. Plus on some plays he would show a lot of burst, and it seemed like he wasn’t getting caught from behind even though I thought he looked a tick slow.

If you go watch HS highlights of say Cobb and then watch his you can see the difference in cutting speed/foot speed.

Exactly, comes out like a bullet, thing I also like, its controlled fury, he looks quite good in run support, not just chasing the QB to the demise of all else.

We really need a second jack (besides Phillips). If Mcleod tries the pros we have no one left at that position, everyone else graduates. Faulk had some minor surgery in the summer and said he was not working out his upper body....and still came in at 288 lbs, he will be over 300lbs come next fall, a wee heavy for a Jack.

Don’t know much about him, but I can tell you the best RB in the state of Alabama plays for BB Comer. He’s just dumb as a brick and committed to Memphis. 6’1, 235.

Here are his measurable from
Huddle

40 YARD DASH 4.5
VERTICAL 36"
BENCH 315
185LB BENCH PRESS (REPS) 17
100 METER DASH 11.8
SQUAT (LBS) 520
DEADLIFT (LBS) 505
CLEAN (LBS) 265

He projects as either a LB or H-Back at Memphis per an article about his commitment

Stephen Sings will be back next year. He’s third team Jack right now.

We also have TJ Lindsey committed who could play the Jack as well.

Not sure he is sub 4.5 from that tape but it doesn't matter. Says 3.3 GPA and he's had visits to Auburn and Alabama (there's a pic of him in an AU jersey on a visit). My guess is that if we had missed on some LBs we would have taken a harder look but our LB class is pretty darn good.

His defensive tape is better than his offensive IMO - he's chasing plays down all over the field. Instantly beating blocks and lives in the backfield it seems like. Not a lot of tape with him in coverage. Only knock is seems a little stiff and maybe needs to work on lower body flexibility a bit.

He’s quick. Don’t know his real 40 time but if you watch the highlight reel there’s no concern, to me, about burst or his ability to get to the backfield. I’d bet his cones are elite

This all day Jones. Tape doesn’t lie, kid can bend and get off the ball with unreal speed. He’ll give many OT’s nightmares in the future.
He's extremely nimble/quick/fluid and strong enough to hold at the point of attack when he needs to then sheds blocks to beat double teams. There are several times he's playing both the QB and the RB dive or the QB and the pitch man with the closing speed to run either town. He's also running down RBs from the backside consistently.

Also extremely quick lateral reactions. There's a reverse play and he's got his hips turned pursuing the reverse pitch before anyone else on the defense including DBs

I can see why he's ranked highly.

I’ve watched Fluff play a ton. He’s a great kid, but most of the knocks on him are his fluidness and stiff hips. He’s a definite contender to be a transfer portal kid in a couple of years.
