Thats what happens when you win. You get the credit. Losers get no credit. Playing good and losing is still losing.

If you want the credit, you have to make the plays. We didnt. If you want to win against good competition, you need to make easy plays and we just damn made it easy for UGA. Good competition is not going to roll over like Cal did and just spread their legs for you.

I have no problem with UGA for getting the credit for winning. They came to , what some call one of the hardest places to win, and basically took the game from us. Using basically one player that we refused to stop. It is what winners do

Pink had some notes from the day, going to paraphrase

As previously mentioned here yesterday, 4* S Zaquan Patterson and ‘25 5* WR Ryan Williams were at the game and said really great things about Auburn and how hard Auburn is recruiting them. Patterson will be back for an official AND another game.

On UF commits — Auburn is recruiting 4* LB Jamonta Waller extremely hard. He was in attendance along with 4* TE Amir Jackson. Jackson, though committed to UF, hasn’t been to Gainesville for a game. But he was at Auburn yesterday

We’ve talked about 4* RB David Eziomume. Committed to Clemson, big time flip candidate. Second home game in a row and he’s expected back for more

He also thinks as of today, 3* OT Kahlil House is in Auburn’s 2024 class. Says he’s close to putting in CB’s for 3* OT Favour Edwin and ‘25 4* DL Jourdin Crawford.

Still likes his picks for Laquan Robinson and ‘25 4* RB Alvin Henderson.

I think the bottom line is that we’re going to see a lot of flips, including with some of our commits currently.

Step one.

Signing these recruits, coaching them up, and keeping them for 3 years, rebuilds the program.

Do we have any chance with Zion Grady or Jared Smith next year? Our DL pass rush yesterday was painful.

KJ Bolden:
quote:

"I ain’t really think the game was going to be that close. I thought it was going to be a blowout. They ended up keeping it close and that really made me look at them a little different," Bolden said. "Coach (Hugh) Freeze, that’s not even his kids he brought here. He really only brought like portal kids and the end of the 2023 class. I feel like if you give him a full year and bring his own class it’ll get real scary for sure."

quote:

"It definitely made me look at Auburn different a little bit," Bolden said. "I’m still committed to Florida State, but it’s definitely making me look at Auburn a little different. It showed how Coach Zac (Etheridge) and Coach Freeze really want me down here for real and be a part of this thing."

quote:

"They were telling me about how the program is special and all the people around here were telling me how the program is special," Bolden said. "They were telling me how I’m really wanted down here and I can just tell I’m really wanted. Even people in the band know me, that was so crazy. Just walking around campus and being known like that, it definitely gives you a special feeling for sure."

quote:

"Yeah it’s definitely important because what 36 plays is my same spot," Bolden said. "If I come to Auburn I’d be playing the same position he’s playing at free safety. Just seeing him make all those plays, who wouldn’t want to make all the plays? All the DBs making all the plays I feel like, I’d definitely want to be a part of that."

quote:

"Yeah I’ll come back for the Iron Bowl versus Bama. It’s going to be a good game," Bolden said.

quote:

Bottomline, does Auburn still have a chance?

"Yeah everybody’s still got a chance — schools that I’m still talking to," Bolden said. "I’m still committed though so I try not to entertain other schools too much, but they definitely have a chance."

Jeremiah Beaman:
quote:

“It was amazing,” Beaman said. “Just the love and the amount of support they have around the facility to make me feel like I’m a wanted prospect.”

quote:

“They need defensive linemen like me with my size and athleticism,” he said of the message from Auburn. “They want big ends on the edge like myself.

“It definitely showed me that they really want me. They’re not just telling me what I want to hear.”

quote:

“We just chopped it up the whole weekend,” Beaman said. “Jayson is like a big brother. When I see him on the field, I’m like a little brother. When I see Keldric on the field, I’m like a little brother. I love seeing them. Most of the time I’m just getting insiders and where their mind is.”

quote:

“It was huge,” he said of the weekend. “It made me look at things differently.”

Kahlil House:
quote:

"I enjoyed it. Both teams really got after it," House said. "Auburn was looking really good today, offensive line helped them run the ball. Running around, moving around looking good. Offense was flowing. I saw some things I like to see. It was a very exciting game, everybody was super nice again. I’ll never have a bad time at Auburn. It was just a really good visit."

quote:

"They (Auburn) stayed in my ear throughout the whole process," House said. "Even when I committed coach hit me up and said he’d still be here if I need anything and so we’ve still just been talking... There’s other schools hitting me up but Auburn’s really the most consistent. They’ll hit me up either every week or every day before a game. Heck, they even call me before games."

quote:

He remains a big offensive line target in a class where Auburn is looking to continue to rebuild that room.

"Yeah they remind me about that every day," House said about the need on the O-line. "When they watch my film they text me about how useful I can be."

quote:

As for a return to Auburn sometime again this fall?

"I’ll probably come back because I have a few bye weeks coming up," House said. "Probably just come back over here."

Favour Edwin:
quote:

“I mean, it was amazing, it was a great visit,” Edwin said. “It checked all the boxes for me, it was a great place, great coaches, Coach Freeze, the O-line coach, just everybody. It was amazing.”

quote:

Edwin has visited Auburn for a basketball camp, but this was the first time getting a look at the football side of things.

“Two years ago, so I am back now to see the football facility and everything,” Edwin said. “It’s been amazing so it is great for sure.”

quote:

The Auburn fans may have been the standout factor for Edwin over the weekend.

“The fans, the atmosphere,” Edwin said. “They love the team, that is all you need. 90,000 every week, what else do you need? That is all you need. They have a good culture, good support staff.”

quote:

“Oh yeah, definitely the game in general, I mean they played Georgia, the No. 1 team in the nation,” Edwin said. “They almost beat them, so I think that is good. It just shows the growth of the team and everything.”

quote:

Hugh Freeze and Jake Thornton showed Edwin what he would be capable of under their guidance at Auburn.

“They are amazing, they showed me the blueprint of how they develop guys and put guys in the league,” Edwin said. “I think for me that is good. Coach Freeze, he has had Laremy Tunsil at left tackle, and others like that. Just seeing what they could do for me is huge for sure.”

quote:

Edwin was blown away by the experience as a whole.

“Auburn is up there,” Edwin said. “It’s everything in one. Auburn is up there, I mean look around, it is amazing. What else could you ask for? The family atmosphere around the campus is just everything you want. I think that is amazing for sure.”

A couple of recruits talked about auburn needing playmakers. Certainly wasn’t coincidence. I think they have been hammering that home this fall

Fan2015 thanks for all the quotes and info. Not just for the good recruiting stuff, but their reaction to the Auburn Fam, Auburn as a whole and our people is very nice to see. We are special like that and it feels good that others get it and want to be a part of it.

Fans need to step up and foot some of the money. It’s plain as day. It’s not Raine or Harbert’s total responsibility. You want to get big time recruits do your part. If you aren’t you’re just running off at the mouth. Because others will pay at other schools as well.

We need to be the standard bearer of the collective. How many years have people complained about the REC regardless if legal or illegal… now it’s legal. Time to put up or shut up. And that’s not for someone that can’t pay their bills or can’t feed their family. Cut back a 6 pack a week if winning means that much to you

To me, this is no different than mega corporations putting out PSAs for the common public to recycle and use less water and don’t pump gas at different times of the day etc. while they are the biggest polluters and water users etc. and people chipping in has limited effect compared to when corporations could do that at a much larger more impactful scale. When Publix and Costco ask me to donate 5 or 10 bucks at the checkout, it’s laughable when they have multi billion dollar revenues. All of these are just to guilt us into “doing our part” when in reality it’s just a drop in the bucket and has limited meaningful purpose other than to enable an individual to feel better about themselves. People have paid good money to get their degrees and contribute in other ways by attending games, shopping, staying and dining at Auburn during game days. The boosters ponying up big money DO get many benefits and access to different things related to the athletic program that the common fan does not, so there is no reason for a common fan to pony up the money when it’s going to be a drop in the bucket compared to some big donor cutting a check for $100k for a season. If and when I do become a multimillionaire and have money just laying around to sink in a pit, I would no question look into donating. But that is not the reality, but that does not mean I should still not expect great things from a program I love.

If you've given to Netflix, or a bullshite Disney or Hulu account, then why not give to something that you actually give a damn about like Auburn athletics? That's how I see it. Complain all you like, but Texas and Oklahoma are coming. We could step up, or get left behind. Your choice
