“Insiders” now conceding him to Ole Miss.

From who? Not doubting you, just curious who it is.

It’s official Franklin to OM. JLee said OM straight up just won this one. Expects Auburn to continue to recruit.

Stidham, now is the time to have a meltdown.

I didn’t watch but apparently he took off a sweatshirt to reveal an Auburn shirt and then took the Auburn shirt off to show an OM shirt. That has Kiffin written all over it

DL recruiting is a C and OL recruiting is a D (Would be an F if not for Cater). Garrett and Thorton better hope like hell their position groups play amazing because this level of recruiting is going to have them fired soon.

Also Dukes needs to never interview another target a couple of days before their decision. Not sure what he's going for there, but it comes off bad.

We’re not going to have a top 5 class and probably won’t’ have a top 10 class either.

Maybe next year. The rebuild isn’t going to be nearly as quick as it looked like it would be 3 weekends ago.

OL has been abysmal this cycle. Carter is a must get. I don’t think anyone else is interested in us for the 24 cycle.

The rebuild is a four year process. This class will help, but we need not only talent but quality depth. That takes time.

Yeah I understand OL is a position that you kind of need to know guys for a while.. but I'm really disappointed in Thortons recruiting so far. He was at Ole Miss last year so he should have relationships with some of these guys already. He wasn't starting from scratch. Garrett has been just a bad though. Only difference is we know the names of a couple fall back options.

Not if you haul in a boatload of top 100 players in a class. We’re going to end up with 3-4 I guess. Riddick, Thompson, and maybe Carter/Patterson?

That’s alright but it isn’t going to take us very far in the new SEC.

It wouldn't shock me if both of them get replaced, especially thornton.

With only a couple of weeks remaining before the season begins, now we have to turn from personalities and connections to do the recruiting and start showing results on the field. If we can engineer flips without playing a single down with the new staff, actual results on the field should have a more positive impact so let’s hope that they come through with the coaching. We have to be patient with CHF for 3 years minimum and start slowly chipping away by winning seemingly unwinnable games on paper now and build momentum in recruiting and hopefully keep rolling.

I'm fine giving them time, but if after next year the recruiting isn't better or the production isn't great then I think it will be time. They have to know the pressure is on though, so hopefully they step up.

There’s probably a reason Matt Luke was in town the other day…

Fellas, fellas, its one player.

Im certain we have a budget by position on what we think we should (not could, should) pay, you pay one guy way more than budgeted....you have a lot of people pissed that are committed (or were before you screwed them) and a boatload transferring at the next portal opportunity.

Now dust yourselves off and lets regroup. Some still on the board and Im certain we talked to them, some committed that might still be talking to us.

How about Rush or Beavers (both highly recruited DL commited to Ole Miss) wonder how they feel about them dropping a bank on Franklin? Wonder if Carter has gotten in the ear of Aydin Breland (maybe he has been talking to Baker the top rated OT as well and they all three come). LJ McCray is high on our pecking order. Or even someone like Beaman, Justin Greene, or Kavion Henderson, one of these guys flipping.

One more guy and the DL looks pretty good, granted the OL needs some work, but hang in there the sky is not falling.

It’s absolutely amazing what Freeze and company have done in a short time and if we sign enough players we will definitely finish well into the Top 10.

But we do have to realize recruiting is really a 24 month relationship. Especially for OL and DL. Skill players have always been more open to committing on the spot and flipping and those sorts of things.

However we do need to look at the overall class and 10 of our commits are DBs and WRs. So time to keep recruiting and building relationships.
