I'm sure you're getting flooded with ideas on where to start the search, and undoubtedly Bruce Pearl is probably the biggest suggestion, but I wanted to add my opinion for what it's worth.

Michael White would be a great fit in my opinion. He has SEC ties, could probably be had at a bargain relative to a Pearl type, and his style of play could keep AU competitive in the short term while he builds the program. He's young and motivated, and could be a long term option if his recent success is any indicator of what the future will hold. I'd take a long, hard look at White.

Thanks again on your recent moves across the board. The AU family is definitely taking notice at your desire to be competitive in all areas of athletics!

I'm sure Jacobs junk mail folder is fuller now than it has been in awhile.

I know that's where all the fan mail would be going if I were AD.

I sent an email saying we need to hire Sir Charles but Ben Howland is available

He is a great coach. Baylor doesn't have a super strong history and has made the tourney a few times under him plus NIT. Tough to do in Big 12 they have some good teams. A lot to do with some talented players but I think he scouted them and weren't good till after he coached them

I would be shocked he would leave considering he is reported at 1.7 million/year. Have a hard time believing we would be willing to significantly outplay that

To me, it looks like we are finally taking BB serious. IDK if true, but I would love to see AU in some March madness.

Drew can recruit too from the classes I just looked up.

I want a guy who can coach up guys with less talent. We wouldn't recruit well with our history even with Nike/UA
