I've got a class with him this semester. Big dude.

Other observations around Haley:
- Byron Cowart is a bigger dude. Dear Lord.
- Cass McKinzy was riding around the first floor on one of those hands-free Segway things

Everyone thinks we are gonna sling it with JJ and our WRs, but we'll pound it with our three backs. Nice problem to have, IMO.

Barrett Salle says Byron Cowart will be the starting D-end opposite of Lawson by the end of fall camp.

I could see that happening. I like Lambert but he is not that great of a pass rusher (in before joey b post a bunch of numbers). With Lambert it is like having 3 DTs out there. I like have Cowart going up against RT, pushes the pocket towards Lawson.

I could see having Cowart and Lambert rotate alot. Cowart may not be ready to go every down yet. And if he's not prepared to stop the run (See Myles Garret against the run last year) I wouldn't mind having Lambert in for run situations.

Those phunkee ducks are awesome, but I don't like that athletes are on them.

Prince Tega Wanogho won't play this fall as he recovers from leg injuries but Thompson is excited about his future. The true freshman is 6-foot-8 and about 270 pounds. He'll start out at the Buck position but could certainly grow into a defensive end. "When he walks into the room he looks like an NFL player," Thompson said. "Prince is a guy that has a great story. He's young in ball. He hasn't played much football. Football is a developmental game. We've got to get him in his stance, we've got to tech him how to deliver a blow, we've got to teach him how to rip off a block. It's going to be like day one teaching him how to walk. "We're excited about him. Want to get him healthy. He's got a great mind and he's a very competitive kid. He was a very competitive kid as a soccer player at that size. Athletically, we're hoping that he can learn the skill sets to be a successful football player. There's no reason to think that he cannot."
MCT was correct.

Lance Thompson said Carl Lawson was held out of Saturdays scrimmage so he wouldn't hurt anyone.

Also limiting his reps in practice because "he's full speed all the time".

Supposedly Russell isn't great at pass rushing so Lambert is big enough to move to DT and Cowart to DE on passing downs

PeeWee would be a legit pass rush threat at DT. He is just okay at DE

To add to my other post, Lambert is discussed by Garner as playing DT snaps. He isn't exclusively at DE so it isn't Cowart or Lambert on the field it could be both

Surprised the coaches are allowing this. That's just asking for a season ending injury.
