Read back, I hit the wrong reply button. My post was directed to Brannigan.

Ok I don't want to be too hard on the kid it seriously but top juco guard had a lot of hype coming in and hasn't lived up to it imo
Speaking of not living up to hype what a bust Tony Stevens and Dominic walker were

He's not as terrible as your making it seem.
He's a solid SEC G and a good backup. He won't be playing on Sundays but that doesn't make him 3rd team for most SEC schools.

Dominic Walker was a low 3 star. Plus he's only a RS Sophmore. Don't think you can label him a bust

He did. He was an 86 composite out of high school and the guy that Pelini got pissy about since we "stole" him from Nebraska.
Stevens isn't a bust yet, but he's going to need to show something this year to prove he's not one.

Didn't know that. Still hard to call a three star a bust

Don't confuse not knowing assignments with slow/nonathletic. Danzey may not be a freak athlete but he is solid when engaged and definitely athletic enough to play OG.
Danzey isn't making an All American list anytime soon but if he knows the OL schemes, he is an upgarde on Chad MFing Slade

Using the 2013 OL as our "Benchmark" let's look at a few different categories
Athleticism (not including strength):
LT: 2013 Grob
LG: 2013 Kozan/ 2015 Danzey (Kozan isn't super athletic)
OC: 2015 Golson
RG: 2015 BSmith
RT: 2015 A. Young
Advantage: Wash -> While the right side is easily improved, GRob's domination makes a significant downgrade to Coleman.
Strength:
LT: 2013 Grob
LG: 2015 Danzey (2013 Kozan over 2015 Kozan)
OC: 2015 Golson
RG: 2015 BSmith
RT: 2015 A. Young
Advantage: 2015 OL -> Hard to argue any of these points. 2013 Kozan's one weakness was his raw power but still likely better than 2015 potentially 90% Kozan who hasn't been lifting
OL Scheme/Playbook:
LT: 2013 Grob
LG: 2015 Kozan (2013 Kozan over 2015 Danzey)
OC: 2013 Dismukes
RG: 2013 Slade
RT: 2015 A. Young
Overal: 2013 -> Easy considering Slade and Dismukes had starting experience for Malzahn then GRob > Coleman.
OL cohesiveness:
2013: 4/5 OL had some level of starting experience with each other
2015: No OL will have starting experience with player next to them
Advantage: 2013-> While it wasn't 2010 level, 2013 players had experience with each other. This is pretty major and hard to imagine Golson could communicate on Reece's level which would help avoid growing pains

Lashlee: "We're going to have good ideas (about RB)" but won't really know until the Louisville game, and maybe after

Lashlee says Jalen Harris doing a good job at tight end as a true freshman

Why does Lashlee believe offense can go even faster this season? "Because that's our expectation."

Rhett Lashlee: "Melvin is going to play - he's going to play a lot, this year."

I've been saying it for months, our offensive line coming together and doing it quickly is the key to the season.
We are pretty loaded at every skill position and qb. Our D is going to be good. Really good, best since Tubs.
Our oline has no experience as a unit and Reese was the clear leader and shot caller last year. The talent is there, the experience as a unit is not there in total and barely there in part. Their coming together as a dominant unit is going to be the difference between us in the playoffs vs "just" a solid 10 win season.
