Al.com has an article about what the new DC will have at Auburn.

Interestingly, the story is started with a picture of Allen in his Ole Miss attire.

He's done solid at Notre Dame. Hard to blame him considering every other DC Auburn has had since 2009 has sucked too

Wow, AL.com just gets worse and worse with editing. Look at all the typos in that article.

No way Van Gorder was to blame for 2012. He was a dead man walking the day he was hired into that shite show

Sad statement.

Grew up reading the Birmingham News and Post Herald. Say what you want about Finebaum, but he wrote some good pieces in the Post Herald. Now I do not bother to even look unless it is for something sports related...

They are decent this year.

Last year their defense was worse than ours.

I agree... his newspaper writing was much better than his radio show.

It's pretty amazing what he's become... and not in a good way..

Yeah, the sad truth is most people would probably not recognize the same guy who wrote those Post articles...

He had some really good stuff about how sports can unify races in the nineties, focusing on Birmingham City Schools.

Growing up, we got the bham news... But I'd read his columns in the weekend combined paper... they were usually pretty good

that article is a miserable pos to read. facts I gleaned from this garbage: >"Auburn will lost at least 63 combined starters, including 29 at the linebacker positions" >CGM has been a college head coach for "10 yards". wtf is this 3rd grade?

Yeah, it is bad, but the only thing "new" I saw last night, so I posted it.

Apparently they decided to pay the light bill rather than have a proof reader.

Does Allen run a 3-4 or a 4-2-5? This is a telling answer that Gus wants to keep things as is..

On who will coordinate the defense for the bowl game… "We're still working on that. I'm hoping by Monday to let everybody know what our plans are for the bowl game in terms of calling the defense and all that but we're going to make sure we keep building on the same defense we had last year."
