so someone just posted on phillip marshalls board that there is supposedly an offer on the table for Pruitt. he could be named the new dc within in the next 24 hours

Well, if that happens, at least we'll be able to keep the class together and maybe get one or two more from UGA.

Pruitt is a bammer and is Bamas top candidate now that Muschamp is off the board. Pruitt's only decision is whether to stay at UGa or go to Bama.
Thompson Womack Kelly Aranda and the guy from Ga Southern are more likely. Aranda may be eyeing the NFL so its LT Kelly Ga Southern or Wommack
If LT doesn't get the job he'll more than likely join Muschamp at USCe.

I don't buy into the sleeper agent thing usually, but with Pruitt I would have to make an exception. I could see him intentionally sabotaging AU and then bolting to Saban after a season or two ready to hand over all the intel.

Also, why would he intentionally sabotage a program? The college football world is a small place. Sure, there are places like Louisville that will always give a Bobby Petrino a chance, but if he wants to be seriously considered, he's not going to jeopardize his career.
Plus, why would he go to Bama in a couple of seasons. If he does well, he'll want a HC'ing gig in the next year or two.

Gus loves him some Pruitt. IDK, maybe he would be a great hire. We need a motivator on that side of the ball. With the way he rubs people, he could be a DC for another couple of years. I just don't like the guy from his rep here in Hoover.

I don't see much mystery around Pruitt. The consensus appears to be that he's a good recruiter and coordinator but an rather trashy human being.

Georgia fans absolutely adore him right now. There's a reason for that.
Personally I think him staying at UGA is worst case scenario for us. With Smart plus Pruitt, we'd be taking leftovers from the state of Georgia.

He was rumored to be involved with Bama's grade changing scandal. Not known as an upstanding guy. Really rubs people the wrong way. We all know that guy. But you can't deny his recruiting and on the field results. He is probably more suited for the college game, so that's why I would be too rustled. I just don't think he should be coaching HS kids.

I would hardly take a guy posting that his "psychic powers" have told him an offer is on the table for Pruitt as solid info.

The should love him some Pruitt. He's probably done a better job than anyone else at stopping Gus' offense, even with a running QB.

THE RUMOR when he left FSU was that JP is a cousin of Joey Freshwater. Difference is that Pruitt divorced his wife and married the Coed from FSU. Guy can coach, that is all I care about.
