Jones could be AG. Regardless of your position, AL not getting the shaft in the Fed Gov is a great thing. Maybe we can start getting those funds typically marked for those super white areas in the NE and west coast.

He will have to get a waiver in order to be confirmed. You have to be out of the military for 7 or more years before becoming SecDef (specified by the National Security Act of 1947).
Several senators (including a few Ds) are saying they don't want to grant that waiver for two consecutive presidents - James Mattis was only out of the military for 4 years when named SecDef under Trump in 2017.

I have explained this to you before. Alabama has a huge military and defense presence. Not sure if you are up on American history, but I dont have the time to discuss how those areas have had more financial advantages than the SE. But this is not the correct thread for debate on this topic.

In 2 threads calling me a racist based on what? I have no clue what color the general is and don't care because he won't be the secretary of defense. Dude you are reaching to levels of stupidity that no one ever has. So again in this thread what have I said that is racist?
And yet again... i asked in the other thread. What color do you think I am?
And for my personal opinion anyone that is above 2 star general is only a politician anyway. That's how they got that high and I question all politicians whether from AU or anywhere. And I certainly don't put aside my political opinions based on AU, color of the person, or anything remotely close to that. So GFY.
