I'll never understand why people get worked up about pre-season lists. They might as well be called hype lists. If you want to complain about post-season lists, that's fine, but pre-season is just a waste of time, imo.

Because we're Auburn and do much better when we come into the season feeling slighted. Would love to be front runners, but for whatever reason, we are not. So, lack of respect in a completely meaningless pre-season award, fine by me.

Likely Nick Fitzgerald and Drew Lock
Drew Lock is the obvious pick (2017- 3964yd 44TD 165.67 rating)
Fitzgerald is likely a projection pick given his dual threat ability + Moorehead's hype from work with Sorley at PSU

Brown or Stidham could easily be 1st team. I can get Locke over Stidham though. However, not a single player on the 1st team for a top 10-15 national team? Come on now.

If this was a coaches pick, I'd say that one of Derrick Brown, Marlon Davidson and Dontavius Russel probably should have been picked
While those guys have a monster impact, they don't show up on the stat sheet so it isn't shocking that media days didn't honor them

I get that people want our players on there but we really lost the guys that were 1st team last year. I like our D Line as a whole but are any of them better than the guys that were selected. Not being a dick, I just dont see where anyone got missed.
Personally, other than Stidham, Ryan Davis is our best offensive player returning. But is he better than the receivers that got selected head to head? Not sure.
I honestly see our group as a group and not individuals. Stidham has the best chance to distance himself but other than that, we just have a group of solid players.
