On the grounds of being accurate, Russell did not start every year he was on campus. Russell was a 4 year starter, but that was after a redshirt season.

Darius Slayton will run in the 4.3s.
4.39 from what I’m reading.

That is fast.

I guess he will get picked up late.

I was wrong. I just remember some drops.

Potential is there.

He had an elite vertical and broad jump. Shuttle was good but not great. 3 cone was average and his bench press was well below average but that’s not something they’re typically prioritizing at WR.

Now, DK Metcalf is on another level

Also guys like SLayton can fill out the special teams because they always need some gunners and fast guys to cover kicks and such.

At 4.39, SLayton has legit speed.

Some team will take him and coach him up.

I guess I get to down on some players. The offense was putrid until the bowl game.

Can we have more of that next year?

Too bad we can't play the slow whites kids of the Big 10 every week.

Chip Lindsey was fricking terrible. Gus should have fired his arse after that shitshow of screen passes against Arkansas.

So Auburn's all-time leader in receptions received the ball in his hands on average only 2 1/2 yards downfield.

Gus Magic.

Which sorta takes away from the accomplishment. Its not like a big portion of his catches were down field

You understand that Ricardo Louis was a few picks from going in the 3rd round, right?

Slayton is superior in every way. Much better player. Better overall athlete. He is also much more fluid than Coates who went in the 3rd round.

He killed the Combine. Finished Top 10 at his position in virtually every test and also measured in with huge hands and a big wingspan (wingspan plus his elite vertical gives him a big catch radius).

He will go much higher than you think. NFL people are also well aware that our offense was a clown-show BTW.

Dude was a 3rd round pick without knowing how to frame the ball. And for all the drops we give Slayton crap for Sammie was HORRIBLE in that department

Former top recruit in America, Byron Cowart, ran a 5.15.

Edit: fixed time.

Apparently he’s going to be a DT though so that time isn’t too bad.

What did RD Russell do? I didn’t see anything on him at all.

Jamel Dean with a 4.31u. If it stands, he’s tied for the fastest time at combine.

Did well at bench too (16 reps)

He doesn’t look that fast, but that boy can move.

Great size, great speed. Could go higher than expected.

Jamel Dean ran an official 4.30, that's blazing. Never realized he was THAT fast.

Officially the fastest time at this year's combine.

He definitely does not play that fast. He just made him some money today though.
