How good would Freeze have been had he not cheated and gotten the players he got while at Ole Piss? Serious question

So Freeze with good players and resources won the Sugar bowl, was in contention for the West, and was in the playoff hunt.

And you want to know how good he would be without good players? Look at Liberty's record. He took an Auburn Qb and led them to a 9-1 record with the only loss being to NC State in the final minutes of the game when they had the go ahead FG blocked.

So yeah, he is a really good coach

The Cristobal ship has sailed lol. They have all but come out and said that he's signing that extension.

What if Auburn counteroffered?

And if you're in the Tampa area, he knows some "ladies."

I doubt we will.. I'm still not sure how legit of an offer we sent. Money is an issue apparently.. I don't think they would want to pay his 8 mil buyout, have to pay the buyouts for our entire staff, and then hire whoever Cristobal would want. We might have sent an offer, but I bet it was a lowball offer.

They keep Steele and don't have to pay the buyout and keep most of the coaches on staff.

I hope I'm wrong, but I've already accepted it. I just wish they would just make the announcement already.

Part of the reason I don’t get the melt thinking it’s Steele

Then why is Steele’s name being used so much? If it’s a smokescreen it’s been terrible, if he’s the backup plan to MC then that sucks, and if he’s the #1 guy then that’s troubling too.

Did no one think of this before they decided to stroke a massive check to Gus? If that's serious, this is a worse clown show than I could've ever imagined.

Money is not an issue. Anyone who says this is ignorant of the massive companies such as Apple that back us up.

If it is Steele, the AU way to go about this is wait until after NSD to announce him.

It's the optics.

Spend millions upon millions for a jalopy? If you are going to pay Gus' buyout, you had better bring in a proven commodity.

They thought they could sneak Steele in quickly through the back door and it wouldn't have mattered. Now that you have to look for a coach, money matters.

No way that’s their plan.

Then we’d just keep Gus

We don't really get any money from Tim Cook/Apple. I'm not saying we're broke, but they are being tight on money.
