Did you, or anyone else on this board, ever think that they would?
If so, why?
But again, I have read repeatedly on this board that ANYONE would be an improvement over Malzahn, so I guess whoever we do hire will be OK. ??

Yes. Basically our small demand is said new coach must keep D staff. But he is cool outside of that.

Clark was favored/supposedly offered, UAB was calling donors to raise funds to keep him. Clark apparently said no thanks after being told he'd have to keep certain ppl on staff, posters argued about Clark, and Jimmy Rane is still fat.

I did. I was hopeful that AG would be a bit more forward thinking than his predecessors. Kevin Steele hasn’t been named HC because of AG so I don’t regret my optimism.

Unclear. He also said that he was the reason Steele isn't a candidate at this time, and that Auburn was circling back around to previous candidates.
Basically, if any of the previously mentioned names who have been offered end up accepting, then it's safe to presume that it's still a shite show
