Bull shite. Clark wasn’t even on the list a few days ago. You have an agenda

My agenda is that Clark could be a solid hire. I am in no way a Bill Clark fan boy but I can see through all this the sky is falling bull shite and see a reality where Bill Clark steps in and fields a competitive football team. And bc I love Auburn I’ll support that. You people who think that you already know how this is gonna play out don’t know shite and are making fools of yourselves by overreacting. Was Clark the best hire we could’ve made? Hell no. Are the boosters and auburn athletic culture to blame? Sure seems like it. Do those things put together mean Clark is a bad hire? No. But it sure seems like y’all are trying force those pieces of the puzzle together.

He's such a bad choice that you could literally say that about almost any coach in the country.

I understand what you're trying to say, but what makes CLark a good hire?

If we let Gus go bc the main reason being we wanted to compete at the highest level, how is hiring the HC of UAB meeting that criteria?

The level of success one expects for a coaching hire, is NOT the resume of Bill Clark.

This is not a successful coaching search if it ends up with Clark...

This Is how I feel:
I always want our football team to succeed. Always. But if I support this crappy hire, I’m condoning the stupidity and greed of the folks who made this decision. The people that make this decision need to know they can’t just do whatever the hell they want because they have money and people will support it. They need to understand we care about this just as much if not more.

It’s frustrating man.

Yeah, Steele is a subpar HC. We just fired a guy who was 77-38. You don’t fire someone with that sort of record to hire someone with a worse record.
your logic has no depth to it. There are a lot of factors when comparing coaching records that are decently similar (like we’re talking a difference in roughly 10% in their win percentages) that have to be considered and you’re not considering anything other than the numbers. Bill Clark stepped into a dead program. Gus never had to do that. Think a little deeper bud and you can talk with the big boys.

He inherited a 3-9 team.

I’m saying you don’t pay $21MM just to fire someone and hire someone with roughly the same record. That’s terrible business.

It’s doormats like your line of thinking which is keeping Auburn from ever being nationally competitor regularly.

It’s not even about Clark. It’s that our leadership fricked this up from the beginning and they should be held accountable. But you’re telling us we should just accept their frick ups, take it, and stay quiet about it. Pitiful.

And Bill Clark has never had to face the quality of coaches he will face in the SEC either.

The job he’s done at UAB would be hard for non-elite coaches to replicate

I’ve already said several times he’s not the best hire we could have made. He’s prob a B tier hire and this #StopClark shite is emotional overreaction bull shite. #StopRane is much more appropriate but there’s a lot of illogical people trying to beat the bus windows with their helmets so nothing else can be heard right now.

Just popping in to see the show of shite the Auburn coaching search has become.

Unlike Gus Malzahn football seasons, this has met my expectations.

Larry Blakeney is everything that people love about Bill Clark.

Plus he is a former player, was on Dye's staff. I am sure Rane and company love him.

Granted, he is a little long in the tooth. But if we can get 5 good years out of him, he can identify a coach in waiting.

He's my new choice since those assholes ran off Napier. If we are gonna go full retard, let's just go ahead and keep it down home, cuz.

How many Power 5 jobs has Bill Clark been a serious candidate for?

None.

Apparently no one else has gotten the memo as to how absolutely incredible it is for him to put in 6-3 type seasons at UAB. Really "elite" stuff.
