I’ve already told you who I want as HC and it wasn’t Bill Clark.

But to compare what Brown did at Troy to what Clark has done at UAB as ridiculous

What part, the one where you posted a brand new twitter account created this month and act like it's real life?

He should go to AUFamily where that rumor was posted. I’m sure they’re having a field day over there

Since when? Yellafella reached out to Nutt in 2008 before CTT was fired. He also used to brag when he was chair of the BOT's sports committee that no coach in any sport was hired without his ok.

That is conspiracy level type stuff. Like Trump claiming election fraud without proof.

A lot of money wouldn’t be raised for just anyone. So who is your guess of a big name that garners a lot of money?

A Lincoln Riley buyout? $ would have to be the reason for him to leave

I’ve heard that story for 12 years now and still don’t buy it. If there’s ever been any evidence that this really happened I’d change my mind.

But why would a shrewd businessman like Rane do something he knew would cost his school $5 million?

Tom Allen? His buyout is 28 million. From Indiana. The Hoosiers. Not a football factory. They sure don’t want him getting away. Think about that.

You can put a $28m buyout at a place like Indiana because there’s literally no downside

I admit this isn’t based on any substance other than my personal feelings, but Neal Brown and Bill Clark just feel like the normal, meh, safe option that AU would typically go with. Better than Steele, but still not to much of a wow factor at all.

That's why I don't want a safe option. And what is a safe option even mean? Safe in what way?

Anyone hearing the scuttlebutt that Steele has withdrawn his name from consideration?

Edit: PM claims he's checked and this isn't true. Damn.

Sark just seems like Gus lite. Gus did in the sec what he did at Washington and then some. Being an OC with Bama talent isn't a tell of anything.

If we aren't going for a home run hire (which idk why they never try for) then they atleast need to get someone that has potential. Napier is the only one they seem to be talking to that fits that mold.
