Makes no sense. Auburn should be in no hurry right now. The should spend the time and get the very best candidate out there. Not just someone to fill the seat quickly. They paid a ton of money to do this. And if they are going to fire the rest of the coaches like some of you want, they are going to add to that tally another 9 mil.

Slow down, get the best guy they can.

100% agree with this.

I've heard the exact same and I told that guy that he was being fed a load of BS bc the the Auburn Board absolutely loves him.

I am not talking a bridge hire. Steele could very well just be doing Greene/AU a favor until he hires Nap/Sark etc. The AU Family types recycle each others message board post to a point they start believing them to be 100% correct. If you ask for them to cite their claims, you just get "if you don't believe me, I don't know what to say."

I’m so sick and tired of the drama queen auburn media... just an endless stream of bullshite and half truths.... I guess folks have to make a living somehow... just wish they didn’t do it at the expense of auburn athletics.

Wake me up when it’s over.

I remember when they hired Greene. He was the best thing ever on this board. Even though 90% had no idea who the hell he even was. he just wasn't JJ.

It is a pattern here. I honestly can't think of one thing he has done since coming to Auburn that would say he is a good AD. The first thing he did was extend the girls basketball coach who had a terrible record. That was met with implications of her being black by a lot of people. Last year, the girls basketball team was almost dead last in the SEC

I don't think we know right now if he is a good AD. If he has zero control then what does it matter. He would just be a figure piece

Imagine you are a top tier coach who auburn wants to interview for the coaching job

What are your thoughts knowing all this BS is being spewed out by the Auburn media. The very same auburn media that will be associated with your job if you take it. frick that

Auburn is its own worst enemy. And that is the school, the auburn media, the boosters and the fans. They don't know how to be a top tier program yet. Like it or not

Theoretically if Steele was to coach under the interim tag for s year that would be okay. Unnecessary loss of a year though. If we promote him with unstated intentions of holding him until we get a better hire then that is a bridge hire

Fortunately, we’re probably the only dumb fricks reading that shite

Greene did sign Pearl to a new 5 year contract. He also pushed through finally building the Practice Facility that was shelved for 2 decades. Certainly some of it’s my opinion, but there’s nothing that screams the incompetence of previous admins. I can mention 2 equestrian titles, college World Series appearance, final four appearance...I’m not really worried about the girls basketball team losing some games. The state of Auburn athletics is in pretty good shape.

Our talent level is already subpar on the offensive line, throwing away another recruiting year on top of this one could screw us badly.

What’s crazy to me is that the general consensus on this Board is that AG is a solid AD, and doing a great job even though I think he is constrained some, which isn’t his fault.

But I listened to a JGT podcast with Jeff Lee and Bryan Matthew’s and they say the complete opposite, that he’s a fish out of water at AU and he needs to go somewhere else and is overall not doing any good.

I think the reason he’s considered a good AD around here is at least partly due to him being a “fish out of water” (also known as not just doing the same thing we’ve always done) at Auburn

I’m concerned Pruitt could be fired today and they go hard after Napier. He’s from TN and wanted the job when Pruitt was hired.

I agree with you here. He’s done a couple good things that have been mentioned (fighting for Bruce when Leath wanted to get rid of him and the football only facility), but there are still a lot of aspects of the job that are unknowns as far as his ability. The things he’s done have been good, he just hasn’t done much.

Matt Campbell's having a bad day.

I think he may have been doomed from the start when he allowed his team to wear those awful black uniforms.

Iowa State's colors are red and yellow.

I know the kids love the new, different uniforms, but why on Earth would you wear this garbage on the biggest stage. They aren't even recognizable as Iowa State right now.
