Yeah pretty much. I have plantar fascitis and have been trying to beat it.

The moment I sit down, whether it is a few minutes or hours or what....the moment I go idle....the first few steps, PER FOOT, are excruciating. Once I get moving, it's as if nothing is wrong. I wouldn't be surprised if we paid a little more attention to him and noticed he was always keeping his feet moving even when being still.

Considering that the first few steps for a RB are the most important I can totally understand them leaving him in non stop. It sucks, but it really is the best option for him until they get the right steroid or whatever in there to fix it

I'm guessing we should just not expect Pettway to be great this year. Should be more than serviceable but not 2016/What we expected

You do know this is a place to talk about Auburn football right? Things are bad right now and the wheels look to be close to possibly falling off. Our coach has made the same mistakes for 3+ years now and we still hear the same tired talk and excuses with zero difference in results. What else would you have us talk about on an Auburn football board?

Perhaps it's because people that care about the program, alumni and fans who buy the tickets have much higher expectation than those in charge of the program. Some of us refuse to accept mediocrity.

I am afraid the wheels might come off as well, but this week probably will not tell us either way.

I still think this team is a lot closer to being good than being a disaster, but I worry if we hit the tipping point of being bad we go straight to utter disaster. The ship needs to at least have stopped taking on water before October, or it might sink during that month.

I think the offense will continue to improve. Jarrett is going to get better and better. The line I had hopes for but if they are forced to reshuffle due to injury it could be a bummer. I'm ok with barely squeaking by in the games (as long as we win them from here on out) and then hitting full stride in a few weeks and just rolling.

So sitting on our hands and keeping quiet is what we should all be doing while the program continues to spiral into mediocrity?

Its always been there. Sorry you are too young to know this.

8 win season are normal at Auburn with an occasional championship season sprinkled in with senior leaden teams

I believe he is pointing out the ridiculous and irrational complaining that is running rampant right now.

Soooooo, that means you are okay spending your money on that? Some of us want a better return on our investment.

Believe it or not, there are ways to complain about the state of affairs that isn't throwing an online temper tantrum

At the same time, we are on a message board, what else are we here for other than acting like children on the internet?

Refuted your own comment
Message boards are the place for doing just that. Plus lets be honest, as a fan, generating social media displeasure with a program is probably the best way to move things to change for the better without really harming the program. If fans just start not showing up and spending their money, yea the message will be received as well, but that can do some real damage to the program as far as perception outside the program, making it even harder for any replacement that comes in.

We as displeased fans are stuck between a rock and Malzahn's stubbornness .

Yea, we'll know a lot more after the next two weeks. If we go on the road and get a win and come back and beat at least a decent MSU team we should have a little confidence and momentum back going into Ole Miss>LSU>Arkansas which are all very winnable games if we can get it figured out on offense.

I agree completely. If the offense begins to get some productivity and makes it through the next two games, the schedule sets up nice in a lot of ways for October.

If however, we don't get some consistently good play on offense over this time, I am worried.

They are going to have to stretch the running game. It's so easy to get pressure on AU because the D can blitz and fill the gaps Pettway always runs through. LBs don't have to guess. Stretch out the running game and they'll be less likely to charge the middle.

That will require them to actually hand it off on the sweep. We shall see....
