Yeah, it wasn't the defense that let Hill rushed for 8 times and 140 yards that put us in a hole

It was more on the d, but we were running the ball well and just needed him to make a few decent throws to keep drives alive and keep LSUs o on the sideline.

He struggled with the environment and played a poor first half. Pretty much what you would expect though given all the circumstances.

The chicken little shite after a slow start is silly though.

I'm good at overreacting during the game, it is what it is. I know Gus wouldn't sling the freshman on the field, it's just emotions talking. Still, Marshall has to find rhythm in the first half. He seems to always do well in the second.

To be fair, Gus was calling a suspect game starting that second drive. I was hoping he'd abuse the middle of the field with the run and let Marshall calm down. The outside runs were bugging me.

Nick doesn't look comfortable (mechanics wise) throwing the ball. He has a cannon for an arm, but he is short arming and trying to aim passes instead just throwing the ball. I also notice the weird grip he is using on the ball too. That comes from Gus teaching the qb's not to throw the ball with the laces. To me I fail to see the purpose of this because using the laces I think improves grip and accuracy. It would certainly explain a few of the wild throws we have seen

Apparently everybody on here is good at that. I mean damn. He was compared to Frazier at one point.

This is the first time in a while I've paid attention to this board in game so I'm not used to the meltdown I guess. But I don't blame you for overreacting.

It's hard not to overreact during games. I mean it's been seriously terrible since 2010. We haven't come close to beating our rivals since. I hope we become a better team by the end of the year but the D and O still need a lot of work. Glad they fought tonight though

Which is why I refrain from posting most games.

He was a mess in the 1st half but I tonight he played well in the 2nd.
Anyway, I think we are light years ahead of where we were last year with the QB situation.

4th start and 1st away start in LSU....first half was one to forget but we can build on second half. Him missing spring is hurting right now..to me at least he has gotten better every game barring weather at passing the ball.

I'm not going to go as far to say that he is no good but he has to play better. He had time to throw and a strong running game complimenting him and the passing game didn't get it done tonight. He was a major reason that we didn't perform better offensively.

Yeah, but maybe Marshall hits a few open receivers in the first half and completes just 1 pass for more than 2 yards (besides what the receiver gets) and we are not down 21-0 at half.

Marshall was terrible in the first half, period. He plays a decent first half, we are in the ball game.

I think he played like a deer in the headlights and scared in the first half. If not scared, he was inept and out of it and extremely innacurate. The running game should have helped him but it didn't.

I am not that down on him overall. I think he is going to play well against Ole Miss. But, I am not giving him a pass for this game either. No fricking way.

Its not like he is getting much help from our WRs...plenty of dropped passes in these 4 games.

weather in the first half more of an affect than the crowd, IMO... once the rain stopped, the passing improved.

Denson was trying to come back for the ball. It goes both ways.

He was talking about in general not just one play from last night. Through 4 games he's right, way too many dropped passes
