I'd be on board with this hire for sure.

Not sure how fast he could get to 10 wins but I DO KNOW he has the personality of someone that wants to be noticed and likes trolling and keeping his name in the headlines. Taking the Auburn job would be the perfect “Look at ME” moment for him. And I sure don’t think money motivates the Train even though having a longer contract than the 4 yr max in Mississippi would be an added bonus.

Do we really think our potential in the next three seasons is higher than where Ole Miss is right now?
Kiffin has had to piece together teams leaning heavily on the portal at OM. Their talent level is not high, at all. He's likely never going to have the talent at OM to compete with the big dogs year after year.

I don’t know if Auburn is in the Kiffin market. I’m sure that they’re going to assess it.
Something interesting is that Kiffin mentioned earlier this year that NIL will be at the top of the consideration list for coaches looking at jobs. Ross Dellenger pointed out that Auburn recently got its NIL in order and has a lot of money committed. He thinks that was why Cohen was attracted to the job. NIL is suddenly central in the success of an athletic director
I’m really interested to see what happens. I’m also not going to overreact to the names the media has focused in on. I’m a broken record with this stuff but Cohen has pretty much established, yet again, that we’re very unlikely to know the most serious candidates for a job opening in Auburn athletics. Or, we’ll learn about them as they’re right about to be announced.

Do not come back from Oxford without him

Matth Rhule wouldn’t work in Auburn. Half the fanbase would hate him for what he did to Cam. I spit on him and anyone who likes that a-hole.

Lane will come at a high price, 10 million per year. Wish we had taken him two years ago.

That's not really high in today's market

Not to mention he wears some weird arse smock, like he's a kindergarten teacher on finger paint day.

LMAO.
You want to describe what he did to Cam?
He played him and then benched him once it became obvious that he was done and shouldn't be playing anymore? People like you are such cucks. Waaaah, he benched a former AU Quarterback who went 5 for 21 for 92 yards and 2 INT's (literally one of the worst performances you will ever see).

Have we hired Deion yet? If not, idc

I don't get the Lane Hype. He has been an average at best head coach anywhere he has been. Great coordinator yes but shitty head coach. Hasn't killed it in recruiting. No Championships.

18-4 the last two seasons at lowly Ole Miss. 8-1 currently in what was supposed to be a "rebuilding year". Won two conference titles in three seasons at FAU, which was a program that was winning 3 games per year before he got there.
Again, some of you wouldn't know a good HC if he slapped you in the face.
He runs a hyper diverse offense and will kill it in the Portal as he's already showing at Ole Miss.

Every QB he works with gets better and better and becomes very, very good.
He has good offensive lines.
This is a good start to Auburn’s (on field) problems.

His offense also isn't predicated on any "system". He runs, he throws, he fields elite WR's....he takes whatever the defense gives him and he moulds his offense to his talent level.
He also fields a very strong coaching staff, by the way
He has grown considerably from the earlier failures he has endured. The interest to AU is very real as well.

I hope he works out for us and makes me wrong.
