Just an idea: Recruiting thread. Only info. No discussion.

Some people have been complaining about having to sift through the recruiting thread to get to the actual info.
Maybe I could update info in here to make it quick and easy to get to recruiting info. I could have the main info that's gone on in the past week broken down by day or something. Or if you have any better ideas we could do that. Mods feel free to delete if you're against 2 recruiting threads.I will try to update as much as I can if y'all want to do this.
For Example:

-Auburn 247 says AU is most likely the leader for QB Brandon Harris
-Auburn has slight advantage for Roc Thomas and Ronnie Clark
-AU starting to become favorite for 4* WR Travis Rudolph.
-AU will definitely be in top 5 for 4* WR Cameron Sims.

I think people would end up discussing recruits in it, which would evolve into general discussions

Unfortunately, very true. People who want info but don't want to wade through all the talk should just pony up for a pay site.

In the recruiting thread i suggested we have an agregator thread, where someone who does a lot of twitter or gets 247/rivals updates just post those updates. It didn't even get a second look.
So obviously I agree with you. A thread like you're suggesting would be great for those of us who just want the nuts and bolts (no homo), but don't care enough to pay for those updates.

Or just learn to skim. Honestly, it takes all of 60 seconds to find meaningful info on a page. Its not that big of a deal IMO

IMO, the the recruiting OP was worth a sh*t, he'd be doing that kinda thing in in the 1st post.

Your better jeer would have been to ask me not to be lazy.
But since we're asking folks to learn to do what surely they already know how to do, perhaps yall could learn to stay on topic, so I could make better use of my new found skimming skill?

Problem is we need team board general talk thread. Not really im threads, but general auburn talk, without having to start a stupid new thread for everything that pops into your or include it where you know people will see(recruiting board).

Not like that, but if we had a stickies thread for such a nature, people would also view that thread on a constant basis as well. On this board, as compared the Georgia board, we don't create a new thread for every thought or topic, we tend to say something in the recruiting board, because we don't create those threads and most people view the recruiting thread.

He likes people to be able to follow along with threads, chatting derails them and makes them too lengthy for the uninitiated. Ice hates Im threads because they bring about drama.

I think we should have an idea board without all the discussion. I had to read through a lot of blah, blah, blah in this thread and I just wanted to see ideas.

That's what paysites are for, and honestly, too many people are quoting directly from the paysites info and putting it in the recruiting thread.
That needs to stop. They monitor that shite. Chicken's already asked about it once before. Just summarize in your own words if you have any pertinent info that you have gotten from AUC, Rivals, etc.

Lots of women in this thread. I like ellitors nuggets on what might happen with recruiting. The IMing needs to go, but general discussion about recruits we may or may not get needs to be in the recruiting thread.
