No word that comes out of his mouth has any meaning anymore.
Its time for performance, not words.

on3:
Summary of Alex Golesh's comments after Auburn's 44-39 loss to Florida...
** Incredible environment. Didn't play well enough to win. First three offensive drives abysmal. Left the defense out too long. Story of game, tied at 17, gave up 17 unanswered. Three AU offensive plays and 17 points later.
** Defensively, the explosives hurt, Double pass was a dagger. Big TD run on 4th down was dagger.
** The expectation is to win that game here and we didn't. First adversity we have to face as a team and we have to handle it the right way. Have to run the ball better. Be more efficient to start game. Have to be better in all three phases. Two shots at onside kicks, didn't get either.
** Wasn't good enough in the coaching part of it by me. Lost composure at certain points of game. Didn't communicate well enough. Can't put defense out there as much.
** We have to be way better. We will be. Believe in these guys. We have right people in the locker room.
** Short yardage defense was disappointing early. Key to game was controlling Jadan Baugh. A lot of missed tackles. Didn't adjust to unbalanced lines as much as we needed to. Misfits, missed tackles. We had to limit the explosives and didn't.
** Didn't run it well enough. Want to watch film and see why. In 2nd half, felt like we had to go chunk yards, especially in 4th. Running game is below where we want it.
** Spent a lot of time on how we start games. Take a lot of priide in it. Thought we had a good plan on offense, but we didn't. That's on me. Got to do a better job. First down inefficiency the whole game was issue.
** Golesh was asked about high-fiving players after game. Said he wasn't, just telling them to keep their head up.
** Felt like team was too emotional early. Want to play with emotion but have to be in control and be able to communicate play to play. Have to keep one bad play from snowballing into the next and the next. We're not there.
** Golesh said he's proud that the teams has stuck together through three games. No finger pointing. That's a foundation. We've got to execute at a high clip. We've got to fix it now.
** Have a lot of faith in offense, Byrum, WR's to create shock plays. Took some shots but didn't work out. We needed to create explosives. When you're down, there are times when you have to be patient, but also times when you have to go get a chunk.
** Times where defense was physical and times we didn't create knock back on those 3rd and 4th and shorts. Got to set edge better on perimeter. Half of players got checks and half didn't at times, which is a coaching deal.

God forbid football happens and we don’t win 100% of the time.

He did. He said he knew Durka Durka was going to give up another score. Might as well let them score quicker

Well that's the thing. He went for two like if they ran down and kicked a field goal, we'd have enough time left. And then what's point after that anyway. It was like a frick you Durkin moment.

6+ minutes. 3 timeouts. and then you start burning timeouts after the onside because of course it wasn't going to work.
Ok. So kick it deep and let them run 12 plays and burn 5 minutes of clock because our defense had shown they could definitely stop them, right?

What is the percentage of getting an onside kick? Clearly a frick you Durkin situation. Telling your defense they're a bunch of pussies. If they lay down against Vandy, it's deserved.

Exactly what it was. And watching the way the game went, can you disagree with it?
The defense got absolutely worked tonight.

First time AU has given up 40+ in J-H since Texas A&M in 2014.
Wrong. Gave up 41 to Penn State in 2022. Thanks Harsin.
Think your point is, though, we simply don’t get our sh*t pushed in at home like we did tonight. I don’t know what to make of it. The final score is not indicative of how disjointed we looked on offense and how poorly we played on defense. I like Golesh and really want him to work out. I’m not sure what in the world is going on with Brown. Hopefully they run him 15+ times per game the rest of the season, that’s when he seems to be his best.

Baugh torched us for 6.2 YPC and 3 TD. Someone tell me where our DL & LB play was tonight?
It’s been such a bright spot for us last year and our first few games. I thought we would shut #13 down and make the QB beat us.
Scheme issue? Endurance? Etc

Why we didn't run the ball well?
CAR/YD/AVG
Byrum Brown: 18 65 3.6
#17
Jeremiah Cobb: 9 32 3.6
Also all the run plays to the inside, slow to hand the ball off, slow to run himself, he was playing like he was the away team QB I heard somewhere tonight.

Other than offense and defense, the coaching and playing looked pretty good except for the times between commercials.

Xavier Atkins and Deshawn Wommack each had 5 missed tackles

Why can’t QBs come here and play well?? We have one of a handful of QBs who passed for 3000 and rushed for 1000, and he looks like Jeremy Johnson out there.
I know our O Line isn’t good, and that’s another thing- why can’t we get good linemen to come here?
