What evidence do you have that indicates he is better
His last name is Nix. Take that away and you have a better behaved Sean White

The WR are not that good.
Gus uses seniority as an excuse to start less talented players. Because, ya know, he is a fricking high school coach

Yeah I mean I do think we have a talented bunch. I'm just saying they aren't good. Whether that's due to coaching or bad attitudes or what, I'm not exactly sure.

These players deserve better

I say this every few months but if you look at Bo’s high school tape it all makes sense. He’s slightly better than high school but every single warning sign is there on the tape.
He’d be an awesome QB in a league where he’s more athletic than the DL and can extend plays with his feet and hit open receivers. That’s just not the SEC and I’m not sure he has the tools for this league. He certainly doesn’t have the instruction
It’s not all on Bo but it’s a bad fit
I can understand questioning other coaching of QBs at Auburn under Gus but not Nix.
My goodness, Bo has had all the resources available to him PRIOR to coming to AUburn to hone those skills required of a P5 QB or an NFL type QB...but...
He has had QB camps he went to in HS...
He had a father who was an SEC QB...
He had a HS coach(his father) who had every opportunity to help teach his son/QB all the skills necessary to be a top level QB...
If anyone should have already developed throwing skills, pocket awareness, reading defenses, throwing to spots, or skinny posts, outs, streaks, screens, etc..it was Bo.
But he came with it, and still throws off his back foot, scrambles too early at times, throws behind WRs wide open, does not throw a consistent accurate deep ball.
He is what he is...and maybe it takes him another year of training to get better.
...that is where we are with Bo, like it or not.

Yeah... I don’t think it’s crazy to think he can’t improve over the next two seasons.
I could see mic being our Kellen Mond... a guy who the fan base tolerates, but then you look up and he’s set all the school passing records... just out of sheer volume of starts.

I don't disagree with those critical of Bo (although I'm a little higher on him than most).. but I think any reasonable person should be able to say he is head and shoulders better than JJ and is clearly P5 worthy even if not a high end starter

We were told he was groomed to be QB since he was 4. lol

I just wish he wouldn’t run backwards 15 yards every time he feels pressure
Posted on 12/12/20 at 11:09 am to auburnnyc94
JS has nothing to do with Bo Nix who loads his stats with screens.

So yes, you thought Stidham was terrible

I take it back. Bo is worse than JJ. Sorry, JJ.

You’re trashing your own thread.

That was the equivalent of JJ throwing backwards
Posted on 12/12/20 at 8:02 pm to AUCE05
That was dumb, but that doesn’t even move the needle compared to the backwards pass.

Pressure isn’t always there but definitely enough that a You can’t expect a QB to trust. No one gets open. Ever. Stove doesn’t have the speed, Williams can’t get separation, Schwartz horrible running routes.
