Okay, and all that aside, can you please tell me what Coach Freeze offensive philosophy/identity is? Every game is inconsistent and appears we are picking plays at random hoping something works.

Please tell me the identity and philosophy Freeze is trying to install.

Freeze will get another year, this rebuild isn’t as big as some make it out to be. His dumbass calling a timeout with 2:01 left is concerning. Also should be able to beat New Mexico st, cal and vandy. He doesn’t have a good win in two years

Now go back and dissect those stats. Put up numbers against shite teams and didn’t do squat against good teams. And also once again, went 5-7 after he couldn’t dump the ball off to his star RB.

As was the attempted trick play for the RB toss only to lose 10 yards and kill the drive. The 4th quarter of the Oklahoma game was an abomination of coaching.

But people acting like this is a startup program with zero players are very wrong. This is very bad coaching.

Comparing Freeze to Dye has to stop. They both are good recruiters but the comparisons end at that point. Dye was a winner and that was clear in year 1. Freeze looks like a defeated man every game, every press conference he does.

Hugh has us lower than we’ve ever been and still we have those in our fanbase who think consistent ten win seasons are on the way - something that would make him the greatest coach in Auburn history. Zero proof of concept. Nothing in Hugh’s history that would suggest he won’t lose embarrassing games every year even when the talent arrives. Just blind trust in a man who has done nothing to earn anyone’s trust.

He will get next year I’m sure, that’s how bad things are at Auburn, all pride and standards are out the window thanks to the mistakes of many over the past 6 years. History says Hugh will get himself fired, and recent history says that’ll be sooner rather than later.

We're not FSU, so there's that.

I guess.

His philosophy is clearly an RPO offense... But its deficient because the QB makes bad decisions on the run/pass read...

I can't say it hasn't though... It just hasn't shown wins.
Remember, the HC is in Year 2
The OC is in Year 1. The DC is in Year 1
Jarquez has already surpassed his yards total from 2023
KLS has had a better season than any WR in 2023
Even Thorne has STATISTICALLY been better than 2023
The Defense, playing A LOT of TF, is better than 2023

Improvement isn't always wins...
If we had a reliable kicker, things could be much better, as far as wins. Two positions are keeping us from having a winning record right now......QB & K.

Rebuilds are not 6-10 year affairs,
Follow Tennessee's example, like a lot of our fans want, and we are looking at a 10-20 year rebuild!

Starting with Kiffin, then a whole string of terrible hires, TN is just know getting back to winning. If we don't give the guy who hasn't even completed his 2nd season, some time, then we are destined for utter and complete disaster. Freeze has the talent coming, give him some time to correct the lack of P5 talent that our last two coaches left him with.

Nailed it! The common fan sees over thrown receivers and interceptions. What's lost on them is, Thorne routinely make poor decisions on RPO plays. We've all seen Freeze blow up at him during games due to this and checking out of called plays. Unfortunately, the back up QB, who was committed to Liberty, is not any better. Walker White is a true freshman and his parents pressed Freeze to redshirt him as a condition of committing and signing. We all saw what happened when Gus pushed a true freshman into starting. LSU & FLA almost ruined him!

You all can talk and talk.

Here is reality: 3-6 in year 2

You can continue to make excuses. And you will the next couple years. Yeah you don’t understand, we need this and that, poor Hugh was in such a bad spot (ignore the better record in year 1).

At the end of the day, Vandy is here. And you have to explain why they’re here, and we are floundering.

Tater Tot didn't because he went 11-0 with Coach Dye's talent. Didn't recruit and ran it into the ground. Tubs didn't recruit hard because Bama was on probation, lived off beating them for 6 years in a row and 2004 team. Stopped trying after 2006 and got ran. Chizik got Cam in 2010 and won it all... and it was all downhill from there. Gus flukes around and made it to the Natty in year 1 and never did anything else. 8 win bandit, beat Bama a couple of times. THATS IT.

You are an absolute piece of shite for running these coaches down that brought us our highest of highs and chucking for a guy that has never won shite. Not a damn thing. Pisses me off. Sorry arse excuse for an Auburn man to throw these great men under the bus and simp for a scumbag.

You're fighting the good fight bro but you're not gonna get through to them. They can't see past the losses. They can't even follow the context of what has happened these season. First 5 games, gameplans were working, we were just being killed by turnovers. Then 4th and 2 happened against Georgia and freeze took PT off the motorcycle and put him on a bike with training wheels. And that's what led to the Missouri train wreck. He has no faith in PT and he doesn't know how to call an offense that doesn't revolve around the rpo. That's apparent and obvious but they just ignore that.

Umm, you do realize Pruitt was recruiting great? And getting rid of him saved their program?

Let’s ignore facts though and just go all in on the company line that he just needs time.

I guarantee right now, the longer that scumbag Hugh Freeze is coach at Auburn, the further it sets us back as a program. Maybe in the 2030’s we can start to compete.

We are a bottom dwelling laughing stock.

You should want better.

I'm frustrated. Came into the season with a lot of cautious hope, and it turns out to be one of the worst season in Auburn history.

Yeah, Freeze ain't impressing me at all. Yeah, recruiting is good. The defense is damn good. The offense is a joke. Freeze can't coach up any of our 4 QBs.

Tennessee didn't fire any of their poor hires too early. I don't know why they keep getting brought up as some sort of bogey man example. Are you implying that had they given Derek Dooley 5 years instead of 3, he would have "figured it out" and succeeded? Butch Jones actually lasted 5 seasons there. Kiffin was actually a good hire - hence why USC poached him away. He just screwed them and left. What were they supposed to do, fold the program?

Tennessee basically proves that all you can do is hire guys and keep trying until the right guy sticks. There is no scenario where a poor hire magically becomes a championship level coach if you just "give him enough time". Pretty much all of the coaches who have contended for titles in this conference showed major improvement in year two on the job. Even Mark Richt, who is seen as a "failure", won 13 games in his 2nd season. Steve Spurrier won 8 games in his 2nd season at USCar, and he inherited a 5-6 win program. Tuberville went 5-6 in year one, and 9-4 in year two.

Freeze gets 3 years, but that is it. His tenure so far has been an absolute clown show on the football field. He has dug himself into a massive hole. The fact that you can't see the problems is mind blowing. You are delusional. Oh its all Peyton Thorne's fault? Dawg, your head coach said that he was "too busy recruiting" to actually coach last season. That is wild. He fired the OC, took control of the offense, and we're not even finished year two and we are already talking about turning over the offensive staff AGAIN. None of this looks healthy, my guy.
