Malzahn is making Kentucky practice for both QBs, so he doesnt want them to know. But the fact he is mentioning like he did, and about the competition, then its obvious it will be JJ. Malzahn may think he is being sly, but, if you really know the media game is played, then it is surely JJ.

Don't need proof from anyone..

Gus had no problem naming White ahead of time the past two games. Just reading between the lines here. Has to be JJ

So to practice for JJ, you stand in the middle of the field and the scout team throws it directly to you.

For SW, you cover screens, swings, and bubbles.

If this is true, JJ better go over 300 with 4 touchdowns or I am done defending malzahn's bullshite. He benches JJ for being a headcase awful quarterback and starts his backup yet hamstrings him so bad as to make his move back to the original guy look better.

Dude doesn't actually know anything. He's just a Bunkerite rumor-monger extraordinaire

He's worse than Blogle in some ways and he's banned from the Bunker if memory serves

If I remember right, people used to take shits on them pretty hard for basically stealing stuff from several sites and sticking it on twitter as their own. haven't heard much lately about them though and I might be thinking of someone else completely.

I am shocked people can't read between the lines and see JJ is starting. Think about it. Gus announced White as the starter following the LSU beat down and now this week suddenly starts in on this "we're opening it up" and "letting them compete."

Why would he say anything about opening it up if White was the starter? Why would he frick with White's head for no reason? Makes no sense. If he was truly happy with White, he would say so and wouldn't be even discussing it.

Pretty clear to me he planned on starting JJ all along and is using this "QB competition" as a way to cover his arse if JJ has another meltdown. "Oh, JJ looked awesome in practice and beat out White fair and square. We put who we thought was the best guy in there."

In other words, doing this makes it look like JJ starting was not a foregone conclusion (when it has been the whole time).

If this is all true, then Sean White has a real reason to be pissed the frick off. Basically this would mean Gus hamstringed him in the SJSU game just so he wouldn't look good and which would keep this QB controversy going. "See, White can't throw and that's why we're starting JJ guys." Nevermind that Gus only allowed him to throw it like 6 times all game (I don't remember a game where AU threw it less. Even the wishbone teams of the 80's would throw it more).

The whole situation is fricked. Our only hope is that JJ comes alive and ends up being all-SEC caliber. If that doesn't happen, I see things getting REAL ugly for GUS.

I admit I haven't kept up,as closely with every detail about Auburn football since the LSU loss but from what I remember this "QB competition" has been going on since JJ got pulled.

After that game, they said the QB position will be week to week. So I don't see what's any different about this week compared to the week before MSU or the week before SJSU.

I agree with all of this and will add that all of this could end up fricking White up pretty royally too. So Gus might have just fricked the long term of the offense for his ego, reminds me a lot of the downfall of Chizik unfortunately.
