Well, Tommy Tuberville is throwing his hat in the ring ... again. Last time, the former Auburn coach was testing the waters for a run as the governor of Alabama. This time, however, it appears the now-TV analyst is ready to help Auburn's athletic program...

As long as McKenna-Doyle doesn’t get it, I’ll be fine. Would rather keep JJ

We could do a lot worse than Tubs. I don't know how attractive the job is considering the recent scandals...

On what grounds do you think he would make a good AD?

Also, no, they really aren't.

We could do worse than Tubs, but I hope we hire someone better qualified

You know...Tubs knows the community and the boosters, and people always ask him about Auburn, and he was a football coach. What more could you possibly want??

I think Tubs would be a good face for the AD. People still love him, he's great at interviews, and he genuinely does love the university and the city. But he's not qualified to actually run it (pretty sure he got caught up in a Ponzi scheme in Texas, so that should disqualify him from managing any of the money). He would need to hire extremely qualified assistants to manage each department. Essentially, I'd only want him as a figurehead.

I rather us hire someone who has experienced running an AD, or someone with extensive C-level experience with major companies.
