I’ve watched the kid play long before he came to Auburn

I guess the writing was on the wall when they didn’t let him go live in practice, where he’s most dangerous.
99.9% of all major college football does not let their QB go live in practice. Especially running the ball.

I’m just amazed out of all the true dual threat qbs, Gus couldn’t convince an elite one to lead our offense over the last few years. This is really disappointing.

What do you mean by “true dual threat”?

Get your own damn gif bitch. That one was already properly used earlier and then you fricked it over with your shitty post.

I’m still sticking to my belief that we’ll see both against Oregon. I don’t want to turn it into a Gus job security thread, but Gus is going to play a guy in certain situations where he might believe JG could get it done better. Say for example a power run up the gut near the goal line.

He could’ve put bubble wrap around Nix if he wanted to. Wouldn’t have hurt Joey’s feelings at all.

There is a fallacy here. "Elite" DT QB are hard to find. You can find running QB, and throwing QB. But one that can truly do both? Hell, Nick Marshall might have been the last "elite" one. Fun fact. Gus has as many starting QB in the NFL as Lincoln Riley, who has never developed a HS QB.

He is right you know

I wouldn’t say Marshall was elite at throwing the ball

Lamar Jackson ish.

NM could throw a dime for a deep ball. But that is my point, DT QB are very difficult to find. And Jones pointed out Bo was a 5* DT QB last year. Only time will tell if he can dominate the college game.

Yeah, Nix can run. He’s not a statue like Stidham, but he’s also not going to break many tackles

Was also a 2* coming out of HS. Name another elite true dual threat.

Oh well frick. Someone tell Gus to only recruit Heisman level QBs that are capable of making NFL defenses look silly.

So he wasn’t an elite qb in college, and we weren’t recruiting him?

He was definitely above average. 450 yards against Alabama in 2014. That’s impressive.

Congrats to Bo. I hope he re-writes the Auburn record books.
