I don’t understand how they were 45 or whatever points dogs to UNLV. Were they supposed to be that bad? I mean teams withs the odds of 28 point dogs to Bama usually follow suit with an asswhipping in the highest order and bloodshed.

Seems like a strange move.

He probably wants to be a coach someday so he will learn from Gus - I can’t imagine him transferring thinking he is going to play much.

But why?

Gus will put him on the field somehow. He kinda owes the Newton’s for his current lifestyle

Unless he’s trying a new position. Guessing we’ll learn in June what the idea is

Preferred walk-on but I bet he gets one in the end.

Landen King, 3* TE,

He is definitely a weapon and can stretch a defense. Would we honestly use him like that though? May be better to take Mcree who is more physical and can play the HB/TE roll we use

King lines up at HB a lot. I think McRee is higher on the list still

And there’s no telling yet how Morris will use the TE. The new focus on the position signals a change. There really has to be with the scholarships provided to the position now

If walk-on then I see no problem with it. Probably a huge AU fan if I remember correctly he really wanted an offer from AU when he was coming up through high school. Maybe can be one of those dogs that pushes people to be better by showing some heart.

Just read he’s been working out at WR

That’s good news. He’s not a great QB but he’s a really good athlete. If he has hands and can beat the guys at that position on the roster then he’s well on his way

Caylin is coming in as an athlete, but probably starting at WR. He's a preferred walk on, but has 2 years of eligibility left so he could earn a scholarship at some point.

I doubt he plays much, but he probably wasn't getting many offers to play QB anywhere else. Might as well come to where he saw his brother win a championship and try to be part of one himself.. Worse case scenario all of our QBs get hurt and we have a decent emergency option.

He wouldn't be able to until January if he does. We can't put any more new players on scholly this Calendar year.

Is that the default position for anyone coming in that cant play the position they are suppose to play?

Move to WR
Move to TE

MAybe his big brother Cam is paying his way until then?

He said, I think that he wants to be a part of a big time program, so he probably is very comfortable playing under Gus being around Auburn and his brother for a year.

He can play immediately.
And even maybe join workouts in the summer?

He just wants to finish out playing w and against the best...the SEC...and how much fun his brother had here.

4* LB Ian Jackson is scheduled to commit May 28th.

JHead on the Bunker says Ian has become a huge target since we missed on Barrett Carter.

Auburn-Bama battle. Bama has recruited him more consistently but it appears AU is recruiting him harder now. The Jackson's have a very deep AU legacy FWIW.
