For the situation, it was a nice recovery on our class. Reality is we are a ways from being an elite team. Hopefully Harsin will have actual competition for each position, and play guys based on performance. No more running Kam Martin out just because of his age.

If we add Brooks, this will be a top 20ish class. That is tremendous considering what the new staff started with.

Mike Farrell said he think it could happen, but I think that was just him throwing ideas out. KN has asked about Brown as few times and just keeps hearing the staff hasn't really pursued him.

Brooks is still waiting for his release. Tenn is being difficult about it and trying to get him to stay so it might be a couple of weeks still... he's still all Auburn though.

Nobody knows. For all we know, it was actually Bridges. New staff, new social media stuff, so assumptions might be wrong in the beginning.

I’m not expecting anyone other than Brooks in this class

I know you know this already, but for everyone else KN has said a few times that he doesn't think that tweet was about Brooks or Bridges.

I'm kind of with you on not expecting anyone else (other than transfers much later). This whole flip thing was weird. If we don't end up signing anyone else, hopefully the staff will learn to be a little more cautious before tweeting something out.

I like Hunter. I think he could develop into a solid contributor. Kid has some wheels for sure, and decent size for being more of a "speed" back.

Playing in rural Mississippi did not help him.

Definitely a speed back but he’s not small. He’s got SEC size and he’ll need to keep putting on weight

In 3 years he ran for 5800 yards (8.6ypc) and 77 TDs. Those are ridiculous numbers. Strong cuts and changes direction well. Doesn’t just beat defenders on foot but really runs away from them. Makes smart decisions on routes. Has hands, runs between the tackles, really has most of what you want to see from a RB.

Believe I read somewhere that basketball in addition to rural Mississippi kept him out of most football camps and probably helped keep him under the radar. (eta: like you said) He might have easily been higher up otherwise.

Yep. The first clip on his SR. year video when he chases down that guy with a like 15 yard head start was nuts.

He definitely doesn't play RB like he is a speed back. Definitely plays the position smart as you said, lowers shoulder when he needs to, saw some good stiff arms, good jukes, and good field awareness. Somewhat reminds me of Myles Gaskin in his play style.

Well he is a replacement for Armoni Goodwin (switched to LSU) Armoni is only 5'8, but he was a 4 star.
