87's are clearly out of our reach.

KN still feeling good about Tar'varish Dawson. A&M had been trying to make a push, but they might not even send a LOI tomorrow now.

Any chance we climb into the top 30 for this year? Any more OL targets if we miss on moko?

Anybody know if we have a shot at Roc Taylor out of Oxford? Just saw where TN pulled his offer.

I think Keith said Auburn isn't taking another WR.

Moko was trending A&M before Auburn got involved. Think they pushed because A&M just signed a big class. But Moko could play right away on a team that just went 10-1 or whatever

Could sneak into the top 20

No other OL names being discussed. There’s 15+ on roster. Quality is a bigger issue than depth so you’ve gotta bring in the right guys at this point. Still looks like they’ll target a starting caliber transfer

Correct. KN said that today but has also been saying that for several weeks now. Not sure that Roc Taylor changes that plan.

Edit: Roc’s HS coach is the source on that. So Roc definitely doesn’t look headed to Auburn

Guessing Auburn definitely adds:

4* DE Dylan Brooks (unknown timeline)
4* DB Juwon Gaston (Wednesday)
3* DB Cayden Bridges (Wednesday)
3* RB Jarquez Hunter (Friday)

Auburn likely misses on 3* OT Moko, 4* DB Balfour, 4* LB Wallace

Balfour and Wallace are likely goners due to the opportunity other schools had to take the reigns while Auburn hired coaches. Moko is in Australia (difficult to reach) and I’m not sure his opportunity is better than at A&M

I could see another DB or that long snapper being added possibly tomorrow. Otherwise, we’ll be hitting the transfer market, probably around May when more guys are available after spring ball

Why is that? Playing right away I mean. I thought aTm returned some OL, but I could be wrong.

LS Kyle Vaccarella just committed. He's going to be a walk on.

Who else has 6 star walk-ons?

So we have 6 star walk-ons while Alabama is getting 0 star DLineman. I feel like I’m in bizarro world

Man, his coach absolutely roasted UTk in his quotes to al.com about them pulling his offer. It is a pretty crappy situation. My nephew played with Roc and he's a really good dude.
LINK
quote:

“That is bush league,” Etheredge told AL.com. “It’s just really crappy because Roc has been nothing but loyal to them.”

quote:

“It’s such a frustrating situation,” Etheredge said. “When kids do the right thing and then coaches come in and do something like this to a kid … unbelievable. Some coaches get mad when a kid changes his mind at the last second. Well, it’s hard to hold a kid accountable for something you are not willing to be accountable for yourself.”

quote:

“I know there are kids out there who play games with schools and are on social media all the time and all of that,” Etheredge said. “Roc is not that guy. This kid shut down his recruiting as soon as he committed, and he had plenty of people trying to flip him. He’s had 3-4 SEC schools come after him. I had coaches from other schools calling me and telling me what a dumpster fire Tennessee was, and still, Roc was a man. He wanted to be true to his commitment. Then, to do this the day before signing day, wow.”

quote:

I just told them that Tennessee is to never come on our campus wherever I am,” Etheredge said. “They’ve got no shot at any kid I will coach. They’ve offered (2022 DB) Tre’Quon Fegans. They’ve offered (2023 OL) Bradyn Joiner. That orange has me seeing red.

“Let’s be honest. Roc Taylor can play at Tennessee. Anyone who has watched his film knows that. It’s a black eye for them. However many games they play next year – whether it is 11 or 12 or however many – I’ll be wearing the opposite jersey. My loyalty is to my kids. I’m going to do everything I can to protect them.”

I don’t know the high school coach Etheridge but I like him. It’s a disgrace what utk has done to him. Dropping an offer is not unusual but dropping it to a long time commit thru a coaching change on the eve of NSD is just pathetic. I hope lots of other recruits in the future hear about this and consider it when utk comes calling.

Yeah, I understand that it happens. And I don't really know why it would be all that surprising to Roc or Etheredge seeing as an entirely new staff is in place at Tennessee. I just thought it was great how he didn't hold anything back in giving his opinion of Tennessee and their coaches lol.
